Hey Babes! I just got back from a wonderful new years trip to California!! We went to celebrate Disney100 at Disneyland, and ride the brand new attraction!

I felt so blessed to be able to have this opportunity, and it really made me think. All my life, I’ve wanted to live in California, or just be there more often. Now, I’ve gotten to the point where I get to go down to Disneyland 2-3 times a year, and reflecting on that it’s all because I have the dreams to do so. YOU GET TO DECIDE WHAT YOU DO IN YOUR LIFE. Do what makes you happy! Life is short, so remember if you don’t get one workout in, or you enjoy some treats on vacation, it’s all worth it. Just do you.

Happy Tuesday babes✨ it was a beautiful thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and now back to the grind! Dinner tonight was homemade potato soup with some garden veggies, and a Turkey bacon and tomato sandwich on whole grain toast after a long day at work, and let me tell you now I am relaxed and living my best life ✨

Life has been busy as heck lately, and I’ve barely been active on my phone at all. It gets to me so often when I get busy and caught up in life that I haven’t been posting as often as I’d like. Sharing my life on here is what I love to do most!!! And we all need to do what we love💗

Happy Wednesday ✨ We’re halfway through the week, and almost to the end of July… crazy!!!

Today is my rest day so just some cardio and stretching, which I always love. Got outside and enjoyed the heat this morning before heading to the gym! When I started my new job a few months ago, I was a bit sceptical of how I’d like working the afternoon/evening shift, but I absolutely love it! I get to wake up and enjoy my morning, or even sleep in if I need to. I spend my mornings training, spending time outside, relaxing, and doing anything around the house that needs to get done. It’s quite peaceful!

I have a busy day of clients, who are all coming in with their best attitudes and crushing their workouts! I’m so happy to work at such an incredible private studio where everyone is always so happy, positive, and brings good energy. Makes my days fun, and makes them do the best they can! Remember- showing up is the hardest part. Bring your positive attitude and your water bottle, and make the most of whatever that workout brings! You got this babe✨✨✨

Ya know, I was thinking the other day- I haven’t re-introduced myself in a long time here! So here it goes…
Hi everyone ✌🏼 I’m Tayler, you can call me Tay, and I’m a personal trainer and nutrition coach from Edmonton! My journey started way back in 2017 when I embarked on my own weight loss journey. A year later I started this page, which became my diary. It is to this day. I share my struggles, my goals, my achievements, and my dreams! All in hopes that it connects and resonates with others- cause this is real stuff! I’ve put my all into changing my life, as you’ll see here.

I decided to become a PT in 2019, and started that career at the end of 2020. I now work at a private gym here in the city and love what I do. I love my clients, co workers, managers, as well as all of you beauties. I hope to inspire, and help anyone who is on their own health journey feel like they have someone to relate to! Happy Sunday babes✨✨✨
I hope you all had a great one! Mine was VERY chill- I honestly did nothing. Got a nice sunny walk in before the rain came, and then Jordan and I hit the gym for a quick leg pump before supper just for something to do! You know I never usually work out on Sunday’s so it was kinda weird but the gym was totally empty so no complaints!

I started a new job a month ago- that’s where I’ve been. I’m training out of a new gym and I’ve been nonstop busy!! My clients are amazing, and my team…. I can’t say enough good things. I’m SO HAPPY. I felt like for a while there I just shut down- that’s why you hadn’t been hearing a lot from me. My mental health took a beating and I just had no motivation for, well, anything. But now I feel so much better, and I’ve been taking better care of myself too, and have lost a couple pounds of body fat! I’m doing really well- so thank you for letting me take some mental health time. Get ready for fit with tay to be back and better than ever ✨✨✨

We just got back from California and let me tell you— it was a GOOD TIME.

We were on a family trip to Cali, went to Disneyland (if you know you KNOW), universal studios, and a bunch of fun stuff along the way. I ate a lot, walked around 30k steps per day, and smiled more than I have since the last time I went! It was AMAZING!

In the past when I’ve gone on trips, I felt like I had to binge every day and eat everything in sight- but that is not the case anymore. If I want something, I eat it. If I’m not hungry, I’m not going to force myself to eat. I crave fruits, veggies, and whole foods more than I crave anything else now. And I also understand that walking all day IS GOOD EXERCISE. So that’s the tea. Enjoy your vacations, and have the time of your life babe✨✨✨

I hope everyone had a wonderful day filled with joy! It’s been a pretty good one here, windy and cold but still managed to get a bit of a walk in!

Jordan and I did a solid upper body back/bicep workout, then I had to deal with some fun adulting stuff today 🤦🏼‍♀️ so that took up most of it. But now, I can enjoy the rest of my day, make a yummy dinner which will probably just be protein pancakes, and relax! I hope you find some time to relax and self-care this evening, you deserve it babe✨✨✨

Happy Monday loves✨ I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Now it’s time to kick it into high gear and have a great week! I’m just about to crush an upper body chest/triceps workout, get some work done today, train some clients, go for a nice walk, and feel GOOD about my week. I’ve been very stressed/anxious this past week and it’s been a struggle to want to do these things. Thankfully my mom was here to visit and made things a lot easier for me. Thanks mom💗

So in saying all of this, I am really putting in extra effort this week into giving it my all, being me, and being kind to me, so that I can feel happy! These feelings take the life out of me so I’m trying to do better. Working out is my first step today to doing better, so let’s crush it✨✨✨

2 ingredient dough cheeseburger pizza, single serve of course🍔🍕 the dough is made with 1/2 cup Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup self rising flour, then we topped with lean ground beef cooked in the pan, light shredded cheese, and onion, then baked at 425 until golden brown. Top with a sauce made with Greek yogurt, ketchup, mustard, and sliced pickles on top! You won’t even be able to believe it’s not a McDonald’s cheeseburger!

These 2 ingredient dough pizzas are lifesavers for busy weeknights, or to curb a craving without getting takeout! Since staring my health journey 5 years ago, I’ve loved making healthier alternatives for the foods I’ve loved, and this is no exception. It’s not going to work if you don’t make it your lifestyle! I learned very early on that restricting is not the answer- it just leads to going overboard. Live life with moderation, and enjoy the foods you love when you want it, but remember it will be there tomorrow and you don’t need it all at once! Just some lessons I’ve learned over the years- I promise it leads to success ✨✨✨

Today is a beautiful lovely Thursday, the sun is out, and I’m filled with positive vibes! I’m just doing some work on my nutrition course, then going to hit the gym before a couple of evening clients! It’s been a long day, but a great one! I’m excited to get home tonight and make some food and just CHILL OUT!!!

My go-to breakfast lately because I started getting a new sourdough from the bakery at our local grocery store, and it is perfect for🥑 toast! I’ve been obsessed with topping mine with garlic salt and honey, don’t knock it till you try it!!! Served up with some Turkey bacon or eggs, so so good😋

It’s been a lovely, trained some clients, did 2 workouts (🥵), working on my nutrition course now, and training more later! Also gotta do some cleaning cause it’s my birthday on Friday and I need to start this new age with a clean physical and mental space! Lots of fun stuff!

Sunday evening calls for ooey-gooey fudgy heathy brownies! I found this recipe randomly on TikTok, and had to make it! It’s made with wholesome ingredients, no refined sugar or flour, and is gluten free/can be made vegan! Here’s the recipe:
1 cup almond butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup coconut sugar
2 eggs (or flax egg)
1/4 cup almond flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
Chocolate chips/toppings of choice!
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes and let cool! So delish😋
