Our clinic is closed today to recognize this important day, to reflect and understand, and stand by all those affected. Learn more about this national day here.
September 30, 2021, marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day that coincides with Orange Shirt Day. It recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind and the survivors of these institutions.

Today is National Daughters Day and
here’s to the girl moms.
The ones with the responsibility of raising fierce hearts in an uncertain world.
Because it takes strength to raise a girl—
in a world that still forgets her worth.
It’s teaching her to stand tall,
to lead with a “yes I can” spirit,
to speak her truth,
even when her voice shakes.
It’s watching her fire burn bright—
or helping her light the match.
So, she never shrinks, never silences,
never stands small for someone else’s comfort.
It’s guiding her toward passions
so she rises above the noise,
above the pretty drama,
with purpose in her stride.
It’s telling her to live unfiltered—
to run, to leap, and to laugh loud.
It’s teaching her that her worth
is not found in numbers or her appearance,
but in the soul, she carries
and the love she gives.
It’s showing her that mental health is sacred,
that strength and softness can live in the same breath,
and that asking for help
is never weakness—it’s courage.
Yes, she’ll question herself—
but she’ll know who she is.
Here’s to the girl moms.
Holding the hands
of tomorrow’s women.

Even though we often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, one thing is certain: time flies, and our time here is limited and precious. So, spend it with the people you love and who love you. Don’t stress over the little things, and take time to slow down and be present with your kids. It’s the best gift for them…and for us, too. 🥰
