This is true!!!

Ayurveda is recognized as the world's oldest natural system of medicine.

Ayurveda is based on five elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.

Ayurveda philosophy says that when there is a imbalance in any one of these elements, the body starts to show signs and to treat imbalance, we use natural resources made with the five elements to bring balance.

Here is the beauty of this science, because the body is made with the five elements and the supplements that we use are also made with the five elements. The body will recognize them and accept them, and utilize them very, very easily.

There is rare of the rare chances of rejections.

Means there is rare of rare chance of side-effects.

There is lots of misguided information available on the internet, regarding Ayurveda supplements.

What do you believe? What you says?

Finally I did it 😄 !!!

I have been with GBAU since 1990, when I finished my graduation (BAMS) and I continue being part of this board even though I am in abroad.

I respect and I am truly thankful to this board and Indian government to try to promote Ayurveda as much as they can.

I am very grateful that I have had the opportunity to learn this ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, allowing me to help people and also those with challenging conditions. As Indian history is known for facing centuries of foreign imperialistic attacks, we have lost some of the scriptures, books, tradition, and the prestigious knowledge that we initially had.

Ayurveda is wrote down in Sanskrit and there are only few books available at present times. I have been in the Ayurveda field since 1990, and even to this day, it is my passion as I still am exploring and understanding more and more secrets of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda is much more than our culture, it is a science of life that originated more than 5000 years ago.

Believe it or not, but the rules or guidelines of Ayurveda that were created decades of centuries ago in order to preserve health and well-being of the body, mind, spirit, are just as strongly effective in today's present time.

Water is said to be the life of all living creatures on this planet. Water is required not only for drinking for the purpose of sustenance of life, but it possesses the capability of healing.

Regarding Ayurveda, the intake of hot water is found to be much more beneficial for maintenance of Agni(fire), better digestion and balancing the three doshas for which water is said to be best wholesome. It was revealed that in Ayurvedic literature more emphasis is given for internal use of water considering its action directly on jatharagni and tridosha. Jatharagni is considered the digestive fire in Ayurveda. Tridosha is the three energies as Vata, Pita, and Kapha that governs our psychophysiological functions in our state of balance.

It is always advised to drink water wisely. Drinking water just before a meal makes you lean and thin as it decreases the digestive fire (agnimanda). Similarly drinking water just after meal results in indigestion by hampering the action of doshas. This leads to obesity and aggravates kapha dosha in the stomach. However, sipping water in between the meal leads to better digestion of food and healthy body. One should use warm water to drink after having heavy, fatty, or oily food. Even it is beneficial to always prefer lukewarm water to drink as it aids the digestive fire. At the least it should be strongly recommended to drink 2-3 glasses of warm water 1st thing in the morning for an everyday cleanse. To enhance digestive fire, 1 glass of warm water 1 hour before/after food. By doing this you are incorporating water as a powerful medicine in your life which will soon help you to experience the daily effects of healing.

“Ginger” is a very familiar word. Mostly everybody knows it. It is used in cooking for its spicy taste and flavor.

Did you know ginger is known in Ayurveda as “Vishwa-Aushadh” or “Universal medicine" because of its amazing healing benefits !!! “ Ayurveda” is a natural system of medicine. It is an ancient system of medicine more than 5000 years old. Ayurveda believes fire is the most important element in the body. Once fire is imbalanced it affects and creates imbalance of tridosha (the three doshas) and then people start to get sick after.

Ginger referred in Ayurveda as "Aardrakam"or "Shunthi" in Sanskrit. It is pungent (spicy), while at the same time sweet and warming. Ginger is rich with fire element and regular practice of ginger will enhance heat and improve digestive fire. Because of its amazing healing properties and qualities it makes ginger very useful for treating Vata and Kapha imbalances, such as digestive issues, as it improves all three phases of gastrointestinal functions (digestion, absorption, and elimination). It’s the perfect antidote for chill and dampness.

Ginger Tea : ¼ tsp ginger powder, ½ tsp lemon juice, 1 cup hot water, ½ tsp jaggery, pinch of salt, then mix well and enjoy it any time when you wish for something that is hot, spicy and sweet all at the same time.

Ginger balls: Take 25 grams of ginger powder, then add 15 grams of ghee, add 25 grams of jaggery, mix well and divide in 20 parts. Roll each part and make a ball. Take one ball everyday first in the morning with an empty stomach in order to keep away the chills and colds in winter.
