Help Us Make Mental Health Support Easier to Find 💙💚💙

Momentum Counselling’s Mental Health Co-Pilots (MHC) program is a wayfinding service that helps Albertans navigate the mental healthcare system with confidence and compassion. MHC connects people to supports that reflect their unique needs, culture, values, and budget, ensuring that no one gets left behind.

With a database of over 1,300 care providers and a dedicated team of volunteers, MHC is breaking down barriers like long wait times, financial constraints, and lack of culturally responsive care.

To keep this service running and growing, we’re seeking funding to cover essential program costs, from website and materials to database management and outreach resources. That being said, we have applied for the Field Law Community Grant.

To secure funding, however, we need your help! That is why we are asking for your vote in supporting the program.

To Vote:
- You can visit the QR code in our Post or Story
- OR by visiting this link: https://www.fieldlaw.com/idea/all-in-one-mental-wellness-hub

The Deadline to Vote is: November 21!

Your contribution will directly help us continue connecting people to the right supports, at the right time, and ensure no one is left behind in their mental health journey.

It is Mental Illness Awareness Week, October 5-11th.

The Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) coordinates this campaign and their website states, “Mental Illness Awareness Week is an annual national public education campaign designed to open the eyes of Canadians to the reality of mental illness.”

This year’s theme is Mental Health and Substance Use Health: A RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE. Some national stats include:

✳️ Canada spends only 5% of its health budget on mental health, experts say it should be at least 12%.
✳️ 90% of Canadians say timely access to mental health care is important, 83% say we need more mental health professionals.
✳️ In some parts of the country, wait times for mental health services can be up to 2.5 years.

This is why we exist, to provide accessible mental health care and to support and train mental health professionals.

As a Registered Charity, we need your help to make this possible. Donate today on our website https://lnkd.in/gW7hJ6V and receive a charitable tax receipt. 🙏

Many people don’t realize the signs of depression until it feels overwhelming. If you’re feeling low, withdrawn, or unmotivated, that’s a sign to check in with your mental health. Depression doesn’t always look the way we expect. It can show up at work, in school, or in everyday conversations, and it often goes unnoticed. Take a moment this week to check in on the people around you. 💙💜

You can take the free, anonymous check-in at areyoufeelingok.com. It is available in English, French, Punjabi, Spanish, Chinese, and Ukrainian. A simple check-in could be the first step towards feeling better. Pass it on and share it with someone you care about.

National Depression Screening Day is October 6–12, 2025💙

Depression is one of the most common mental health conditions, yet it often goes unrecognized and untreated. Early identification is key. Screening tools can help you reflect on how you’ve been feeling and connect you to resources if needed.

From October 6–12, you can take a free, anonymous, and confidential mental health quiz at areyoufeelingok.com. It only takes a few minutes and may be the first step toward accessing the care and support you deserve.

Checking in on your mental health is just as important as checking in on your physical health. Take a moment to prioritize you.
