NEW ARTICLE: MEBENDAZOLE in GLIOMA Brain Cancer - 2025 Johns Hopkins Study

HIGHLIGHTS:
In this preclinical study, scientists tested Mebendazole on various brain cancer (glioma) cells in lab dishes and in mice with tumors grown from patient-derived cells

KEY FINDINGS:

1. MBZ kills or slows cancer cells on its own — It worked against many different types of malignant (aggressive) cancer cells at low concentrations. In patient-derived glioma cells, it was effective at even lower doses.

2. MBZ improves survival in mice — Using a special mouse model with a patient-derived grade 3 oligodendroglioma (a type of glioma), oral Mebendazole roughly doubled survival (from about 100 days untreated to 187 days treated).

3. How MBZ works (the mechanisms) — It causes DNA damage (shown by increased markers like pγH2AX), disrupts microtubules (the cell’s “skeleton” needed for division), and triggers apoptosis (programmed cell death) through caspases (enzymes that dismantle dying cells). It also affects proteins involved in cell cycle control and survival.

4. Even better when combined with radiation therapy (RT) — Radiation is a standard glioma treatment. In lab tests, MBZ + RT killed more cells than either alone, caused more cells to arrest in a vulnerable phase of division (G2/M).

In the mouse model (tumors implanted in the brain):

Untreated: short survival (109 days).
RT alone: some improvement (median ~130 days).
MBZ alone: better (median ~215 days).
MBZ + RT: the best result — significantly longer survival than either alone, with over half (54%) of mice surviving long-term (>290 days, cured in many cases), and brain scans showing no tumor left in those long-term survivors.

No major side effects (like weight loss) were seen with the combination.

NEW RESEARCH: FENBENDAZOLE in CANCER - Inhibition of Cervical Cancer and Cervical Cancer Stem Cells, fantastic May 2025 Paper out of China!

Major new paper shows how Fenbendazole outperforms chemo!! 😃

HIGHLIGHTS:
Tests were done in vitro (test tubes) & in vivo (mice implanted with human tumors)

Goal was to see if Fenbendazole slows cancer growth, stops cells from dividing, kills cancer cells, and shrinks tumors, while also figuring out how it works

Key Findings from Lab Tests (In Vitro)

Cancer Stem Cells were isolated (1-3% of tumor cells) and were pulled out using markers on their surface (CD133 and CD44)

1. Fenbendazole slowed down growth in both Cervical Cancer Cells and Cervical Cancer Stem Cells with stronger effect at higher doses

2. Fenbendazole trapped cells in the “G2/M” stage of their life cycle, preventing division. Did it to both Cancer Cells and Cancer Stem Cells

3. Cell Death - FBZ triggered apoptosis of Cancer cells and Cancer Stem Cells

Key Findings from Animal Tests (In Vivo)

Setup: Female n**e mice (with weak immune systems) got human HeLa cancer cells injected to grow tumors. Once tumors formed, mice were split into groups:

1. untreated,
2. low-dose FBZ (50 mg/kg),
3. high-dose FBZ (100 mg/kg),
4. or cisplatin (standard chemo) as a comparison.

Tumor Shrinkage:

High-dose Fenbendazole significantly slowed tumor growth over 23 days, reducing tumor volume and weight (about 53% inhibition).

Low-dose FBZ had milder effects (41% inhibition).

Cisplatin was stronger (75% inhibition) but caused bad side effects.

Safety:

Fenbendazole mice stayed healthy: no weight loss, normal behavior, eating, and no organ damage (heart, liver).

Cisplatin caused big weight loss and toxicity.

Survival:
Over 80 days, all untreated mice died.

Cisplatin saved 40% of mice.

Both Fenbendazole doses kept 100% of the mice alive (!!) (Commentary: This is absolutely wild)

CONCLUSION:

Fenbendazole inhibits growth of and also kills both Cervical Cancer Cells and tough to kill Cervical Cancer Stem Cells.

Fenbendazole shrunk tumors in mice and extended survival.

Whereas chemo saved 40% of mice (tumor shrinkage was better than Fenben), Fenbendazole saved 100% of mice.

Fenbendazole also kept mice healthy, normal behavior, no weight loss and no organ damage while chemo caused major weight loss and organ toxicity.

There are MAJOR lessons here.

Fenbendazole doesn’t shrink tumors as well as chemo (Cisplatin) did, but 100% of mice survived with Fenben while only 40% survived with chemo due to toxicity.

Fenbendazole treated mice had no organ toxicity (liver, heart) and no weight loss - while chemo treated mice had severe organ toxicity and severe weight loss.

This is the exact opposite of what Oncologists tell their cancer patients to scare them out of trying Fenbendazole!

NEW ARTICLE: IVERM3CTIN - How does Iverm3ctin inhibit spread of Breast Canc3r? 2025 Thailand paper by Rujimongkon et al.

HIGHLIGHTS:

This paper explores whether Iverm3ctin could be “repurposed” as a potential helper in fighting certain tough-to-treat breast canc3rs.

Researchers tested Iverm3ctin on lab-grown breast canc3r cells, specifically types that no longer respond to hormone therapies (like tamoxifen or fulvestrant).

KEY FINDINGS:

Iverm3ctin slows canc3r cell growth: It stops these resistant canc3r cells from multiplying as quickly.

The effective doses were in a realistic range (micromolar levels, similar to what’s seen in other lab studies), and it worked about as well on resistant cells as on regular breast canc3r cells. Normal (non-canc3r) breast cells were less affected, suggesting selectivity for canc3r cells.

It may help overcome drug resistance: When combined with tamoxifen (a standard hormone therapy), lower doses of tamoxifen still worked, hinting that Iverm3ctin could make resistant canc3rs sensitive again.

It reduces canc3r spread potential: Canc3r spreads (metastasizes) when cells become more mobile and invasive.

Iverm3ctin blocked the canc3r cells’ ability to migrate and invade in lab tests.

It did this partly by reversing “epithelial-mesenchymal transition” (EMT)—a process where canc3r cells become more aggressive and spread-prone.

Specifically, Iverm3ctin lowered levels of proteins like vimentin and snail (which promote spread) and may help restore E-cadherin (which keeps cells stuck together).

The paper focuses on the Wnt signaling pathway, which is often overactive in breast canc3r and drives growth and spread.

Iverm3ctin reduced certain Wnt “signals” (like Wnt5a/b ligands) and a receptor (LRP6), leading to less EMT and potentially slower progression.
The effects were stronger in resistant cells.

The researchers compared Iverm3ctin to an approved drug palbociclib (Ibrance), used for similar resistant breast canc3rs, and found Iverm3ctin was more effective at blocking some spread-related changes in their tests.

CONCLUSION:

These lab results suggest Iverm3ctin has promising anti-growth and anti-spread effects on hormone-therapy-resistant breast canc3r cells, possibly by interfering with the Wnt pathway and EMT.

My Take…

I always get asked - how can Iverm3ctin possibly tr3at canc3r if it’s an anti-parasitic?

The answer is: Iverm3ctin is a LOT MORE than just an anti-parasitic.

Iverm3ctin has extensive anti-neoplàstic properties!

Stage 1 Left Breast Can¢er (ER+/PR+/HER2-), 1cm tum0r was cleared completely with 3.5 months of Iverme¢tin + Fenbend@zole and Iverme¢tin + Mebend@zole.

The 1cm breast can¢er was biopsy confirmed in April 2025 and on MRI May 8, 2025 (BI-RADS6).

The patient had initially postponed lumpectomy to do “alternative treatment” – this was noted on the Sep.19, 2025 MRI which showed that the 1cm tum0r was GONE.

Left breast lumpectomy done Nov.2025 showed no can¢er cells.

I will probably submit this case for publication as there was no che¢o, no radiation, no hormone therapy and no conventional Onc0logy Treatment here of any kind.
