Printing prep for launching our Children’s Wellness Workshops, Classes and Camps. With a rich history working and learning alongside neurodivergent children as a parent, and learning resource/elementary school teacher - I have first hand experience with these dragons being effective for calming nervous systems and increasing focus for tactile sensory seekers. Teaching about emotions in the classroom… E-motions = energy in motion. Emotions are chemicals triggered to release from external stimuli activating internal physical responses. The chemicals and energy move throughout the body - each one having specific frequencies and vibrations. Feelings are what you “feel” and sense of your body as a result of the “energy in motion”. We use words like sad, mad, happy, excited,etc… to attempt to describe what we’re internally experiencing and feeling in our body.

Children’s Mini Wellness Adventure at St. Pius Wellness Day! Kids practiced breath work to calm and regulate the nervous system, listened to a story about a sneezy dragon, swept his snotty boogers away using a feather (body scan), talked about how some feelings can feel sticky and uncomfortable too - then moved our bodies to music to shake off the last little sticky bits! With a little bit of left over time, the kids explored our sound bowls. Thanks to for the trio of Divine Dragons that were donated to the school to be used as fidgets (private and quiet). Their poky spine is perfect for little sensory seekers!
