First visit to Casa Loma — North America’s only real castle!
Made me miss visiting castles in Switzerland 🥺
It’s Edwardian style, built in 1911… which I found interesting since my own Edwardian style house was built just a few years earlier.
Because I’m a psychic, I sat down with my notebook before going in and wrote down a few things I picked up on. It was pretty busy, so it was harder to fully focus—but what came through was still interesting:
- A woman named Maria or Mary… brownish hair
- Simple white or beige dress (nothing fancy)
- A worker injuring his hand
- A man constantly worried about money, not really able to enjoy the place
- A feeling that the lights in the main foyer weren’t original
But the most interesting part was the woman in white.
When I saw her in my mind, she came toward me like she recognized me—and she laughed. It was light, almost playful.
Later, I actually saw a white dress upstairs… and when I looked into it after, there are stories about a “White Lady” often seen there, believed to have been a maid.
Wikipedia:
- Sir Henry Pellatt: The spirit of Sir Henry has been spotted on the second floor, often described as an angry or somber man looking out windows, believed to be frustrated by his forced departure from the home in 1924.
- The White Lady: A frequently seen apparition, often sighted by staff and visitors in the1900s-era, is a woman in white, believed to be a maid who worked there during a past influenza outbreak.
- Lady Mary Pellatt: The wife of Sir Henry is seen wandering the mansion and its gardens.
