Today I'd like to share some exciting news. Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises now welcome unvaccinated travelers of all ages, the first major cruise brands to do so since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020.

Last month the CDC discontinued their COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships, opening the door for cruise lines to set their own requirements for testing and vaccinations, except in cases where a specific country on a cruise itinerary has overriding regulations.

Here is a summary of the new health and safety protocols for unvaccinated travelers on Norwegian, Oceania and Regent:

Effective for sailings embarking September 3, 2022 and beyond:
Unvaccinated guests age 12 and over are welcome onboard. They will be required to show proof of a medically-supervised negative PCR or Antigen test taken no more than 72 hours prior to embarkation.
Guests under age 12 do not need to be vaccinated or take a pre-cruise test.
Vaccinated travelers of any age do not need a pre-cruise test to embark. Boosters are not required.
Due to local health regulations, vaccination is still required for voyages departing from or visiting Alaska, Antigua, Bermuda, Canada, Grand Cayman, Greece, and Spain. The Bahamas does not require vaccination but does require a negative COVID-19 test for passengers ages 2 and older.

Pre-cruise testing and vaccination requirements continue to evolve by country so we strongly recommend that you verify the latest rules at the FastDeal level on our website and with your Vacations To Go cruise counselor at the time of booking.

This ground-breaking policy change brings the cruise industry a step closer to treating the unvaccinated as they have been treated for some time now on airplanes and at crowded theme parks, hotels, restaurants, concerts and other large venues, namely no different than anyone else.

With the CDC's official program terminated, we expect more cruise line policy announcements soon that will gradually increase the number of sailings that welcome unvaccinated travelers, though even with such policy changes all cruise ships will remain more highly vaccinated than just about anywhere else on earth.

God made us all uniquely different. How boring it would be if we were all the same. Shine in your quirkiness and accept it with open arms. Allow yourself to fail and not beat yourself up over it. But learn from it and change what you want to change. You only have 1 life (that you know about) to do and be what YOU WANT TO BE. GO FOR IT! TAKE A CHANCE! And if you fail, GET UP, tomorrow is a new day! Cause if you fail and continue to fail, well, that’s just stupid and lazy. DON’T ACCEPT EXCUSES! If you don’t change what you’re doing, nothing will change. HELLO!!!! So, pull up your big boy or girl panties and move forward in doing better. YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU WANT TO! I love the saying, if you think you can, YOU CAN, if you think you can’t, YOU’RE RIGHT! So, set small daily goals to reach, don’t try and do everything you want to change overnight, you will give up and then feel defeated. So, baby steps, but start taking those steps TODAY! NOW! Tomorrow isn’t promised to you or anyone else, so let’s not wait until we have regrets. Let’s LIVE LIFE IN THE NOW! BE PRESENT! Put down your phone, ipad and devices. Stop watching other people live and YOU START LIVING! Sounds like a plan to me! MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE! It’s NEVER TOO LATE! NEVER! It’s only too late if YOU QUIT! DON’T QUIT ON YOURSELF! YOU’RE WORTH FIGHTING FOR!
