✨ Now Offering Red Light Therapy ✨

We’re excited to share that Red Light Therapy is now available with Alex, our Osteopath, at Pelvic Physio Niagara | Fonthill Physio & Wellness 🙌

Red light therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to help:

✔️ Reduce pain and inflammation
✔️ Support tissue healing and recovery
✔️ Improve circulation
✔️ Promote cellular repair

This gentle yet powerful modality can be a great addition to care for:

• Low back pain
• Neck pain
• Sports injuries
• Muscle tension and joint pain
• Acute and chronic conditions

At Pelvic Physio Niagara | Fonthill Physio & Wellness, we are never a one-modality clinic. Alex will complete a thorough assessment and determine if red light therapy is the right fit for your goals and your body. It’s always about individualized, comprehensive care 💛

Curious if it’s right for you?

Book in with Alex today and let’s build a treatment plan that supports your healing from every angle.

Wow — that went fast. 💕

Eight years ago my little Valentine was not even a week old. I had the option of a VBAC, but I chose a planned C-section — and I have zero regrets.

There is no “right” way to give birth. There’s only the choice that feels right for you, guided by your instincts, your story, and your circumstances.
Sometimes a planned C-section is a medical necessity. Sometimes, like mine, it’s an informed option. Both are valid. Both are strong. 💛

One of my biggest passions is educating pregnant women and their partners about their birth options — empowering them with knowledge so they can make confident decisions — and then helping them rebuild strength safely postpartum.

If you would like a one-hour birth prep session for you and your partner — covered by physiotherapy benefits — follow the link in our bio to book online or call the clinic today.

Because informed moms are powerful moms. ✨

✨ 8 years ago today ✨

My little girl was born via scheduled C-section.
Recovery? Yes, it was hard—but for me, it felt far more manageable than my previous emergency C-section. Having a date and time, and knowing her birthday 10 days in advance (thanks to OR and staffing availability), allowed me to actually prepare.

Here’s what supported my recovery most 👇

🍲 Prepared meals — freezer stocked with meals from Roma in St. Catharines

👶 Routine for my son — I kept him in daycare

🎁 Help over gifts — meals, daycare pickups, and prep were far more valuable than baby items

😴 Protected sleep — my mom came every afternoon so I could rest. Sleep was my priority in preventing postpartum depression

🤍 Self-kindness — I chose not to pump. I breastfed and topped up with formula when needed. Less stress, more balance

👐 Scar care — physio perks! I started scar massage as soon as healing allowed. I have full mobility and you can barely see it now

Every birth and recovery is different—but preparation, support, and compassion for yourself matter - Alot.

If you’re planning a C-section (or supporting someone who is), know this: you’re allowed to do what works best for you 💛

We cover this and more in our Birth and Birth Partner Prep Sessions. Book online today.

This is me in labour after being induced that morning. At the time, I had no birth knowledge—just an open mind and trust in the process. 💛

Looking at this photo now, here’s what I notice:

✨ I’m kneeling and leaning on the couch, a comfortable labour position that really helped me move through the contractions. Theoretically, rotating your hips can open or close either end of the pelvis—but does it really matter? Not at all—move however feels best for you.

✨ TENS machine on my back to help with the pain.

✨ Stacks of water beside me—hydration is so important during labour. Drinking water and peeing every few hours helps create more space for baby to move. 💧

✨ Most likely listening to Adele—finding calming music or practices can really help you through labour.

Knowledge is power, and trusting your instincts is everything. Your body knows what to do. ✨

Follow along for more birth and labour tips—I’ll be sharing more soon! 💛

Did you listen to music during labour?

Education, empowerment, and resilience matter so much when it comes to labour and birth 🤍

Understanding your options — and ensuring your spouse is educated on their role and how to truly support you — can completely change the experience.

If I could go back to my first birth, here’s what I’d do differently 👇

• Add acupuncture to support labour (yes, we offer this at )
• Hire a doula — no hesitation
• Work with a pelvic physio experienced in birth, labour and recovery
• Ensure my spouse is educated on how to support me physically, emotionally, and during labour itself and afterward.

Because birth isn’t meant to be done alone — and informed support makes all the difference 🤍
