What a fantastic night at Shorthills Villa Retirement Community! 🎉

Our Bingo Fundraiser raised over $200 and was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit. Residents, staff, and families all had an amazing time as our wonderful volunteer, Phyllis, kept the numbers rolling!

Love and laughter filled the air at our Valentine’s Day Social! Residents enjoyed fun Minute-to-Win-It games, delicious treats, and lots of smiles. It was a wonderful afternoon of connection, joy, and celebration.

🏈 Super Bowl Fun at Shorthills Villa! 🏈

This year at Shorthills Villa, we brought everyone together for some exciting Super Bowl Squares! Residents, families, friends, and staff all joined in, purchasing squares in the classic Super Bowl squares style — adding to the fun and friendly competition.

Through the squares and our 50/50 draw, we were able to raise funds while creating a great sense of community and excitement throughout the game.

We’re thrilled to share that one of our very own residents won the Super Bowl Squares prize, and even better — 50% of the proceeds are going right back to benefit our residents!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a success. It’s moments like these that make Shorthills Villa feel like home.

Today, Shorthills Villa staff and residents wore blue in recognition of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. 💙 Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia affect millions of individuals and families, impacting memory, thinking, and daily life. By wearing blue, we show our support, raise awareness, and stand with those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, as well as the loved ones who support them every day.

We loved welcoming Sharon and Chelsea from Therapy Tails for a special visit with our residents 🐾💙 Their time, smiles, and furry cuddles brought so much joy to our home. We’re excited to share that they’ll be visiting us a few times each month, and we can’t wait for many more heart-warming moments together!

🎄 Shorthills Giving Tree Update!🎄

Our hearts are full this season 💚 The Shorthills Giving Tree was made extra special with beautiful, handmade items created by our residents, SHV family members, and members of our community.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, our Recreation Coordinator, Hailey, was able to donate half of the items to Glynn A. Green Elementary School (dsbniagara) and the other half to Birchway Niagara (birchwayniagara, helping spread warmth and kindness beyond our walls.

Thank you to everyone who donated, created, and supported the Giving Tree. Your kindness truly made a difference and reminded us what this season is all about ✨
