Foremost and district fire department serves a large area spanning through out the county of 40 mile. Its members are volunteers ready to serve you. Thank You!

Foremost and district fire fighters would like to first thank everyone for there ongoing support of the department. Our members are volunteers that are ready to drop what they are doing when the tones go off on the radio's. We serve a large area of the County of 40 mile as well as the village of Foremost, Alberta. We have a variety of tools of the trade such as
Jaws of life - used to cut various objects
Dash ram - used for rolling dashes in M.V.A.'s
Air bags - used for lifting heavy objects
Cribbing - used for stabilizing heavy objects
Stabilization kit - used for stabilization of vehicles
K12 Saw - used to cut just about anything
Hooligan Bar - used to pry open doors
portable lighting - very bright and adjustable lighting
SCBA pro pack - breathing apparatus
Fire extinguishers - puts out small fires quickly
Pry axe - used to cut or pry
Vent fans - used to vent smoke from buildings
Generator - used to run power tools
Assorted hand tools - hand powered tools
Medical kit - over the top first aid kit
Stokes basket - used to move victims
Mule Wheel - goes on stokes basket
Brooms - used at grass fires
McLeod tool - used at grass fires
Chain saw - used for cutting various woods
Scuba fill station - holds water from awaiting trucks
piercing nozzle - goes inside wall and sprays water
Foam eductor - introduces foam to water
Winch - used for moving heavy or stuck objects
Portable pump - used for pumping water
Bunker gear - firefighter protection
This is just SOME of the tools that we are so lucky to have. Our vehicle fleet includes:
2 pumper trucks, one is set up for working in the village of Foremost, and the other is set up for structure fires and grass fires. This one has been dubbed "BIG RED". We also have a rescue unit witch carries a lot of the tools for in town and out of town calls as well as a rescue suburban, which carries extra air tanks and some tools as well. Please, if you have any photos of us in action, feel free to email, or private message them to us to post. Please refrain from posting any graphic photos, or photos that show victims/families faces. Also we ask that you please refrain from mentioning names of victims and families in any of the posts. Any posts/comments that include such content will be removed immediately and without notice.

Foremost Firefighters are looking for so assistance to operate a casino on Feb 28 / 29 th 2024 in Medicine Hat.
Day shift is 3:00-8:00 pm
Nite shift is 7:30 - 1:00 am

This morning two of our members along with two other members from our county left to head up north for a 10 day deployment to assist with the wild fires! Thank you guys for your service and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We’d like to thank the Foremost Youth group for coming out Friday evening and volunteering time to help sweep up the fire hall and wipe down some of our tools and trucks(under our supervision). Great work!

Hello Foremost and surrounding residents.
Our birthday drive by celebrations are officially over.
We really appreciate your requests to help bring cheer to those that had birthdays. It was nice to get out and connect with the community from a distance and help celebrate important times in people's lives with positivity.

, Western Tractor and have teamed up to host a community event to raise funds for HALO Air Ambulance while simultaneously supporting Canadian potato farmers. On Friday, May 29, nearly 7,500 bags of french fries, supplied by McCain Foods, will be given away at Western Tractor dealerships located in Medicine Hat, Burdett, Taber and Lethbridge. To participate in the Free Fry Day giveaway, guests can stop by their local Western Tractor dealership during the designated distribution time for their community. Each vehicle will receive two 6.5 lbs. bags of frozen french fries through curbside contactless pickup.
