Although Wellbriety Week wrapped up on Friday, we want to take a moment today to reflect and say thank you 💚

To our sponsors — Cree Nation of Chisasibi, Brighter Futures, CHB Public Health Dept, Maanuuhiikuu Dept, and Nishiyuu — thank you for your support in making this week possible.

To all our workshop facilitators and everyone who helped behind the scenes, we truly appreciate the time, energy, and heart you gave to this week.

To everyone who attended, showed up, and took part — thank you. We see you, and we honour each of you on your journey. Keep going, keep growing, and continue walking your path. ✨

Even with some unexpected challenges and a few mishaps along the way, we came together, supported one another, and made it happen — and we’re proud of that.

A special shoutout to Vanessa for stepping up, Hepzibeth for the guidance, and our newbie Alysha — you did such an amazing job. You’re the real MVPs 🙌🏽💕💕

From Youth Outreach — Ronetta and Leila — thank you all for being part of this journey with us. We appreciate every single one of you! 💛

Healing is possible. Recovery is real. 🤍

This powerful story shares the journey of Roger Orr, owner of Retro Daze Cafe- who faced deep challenges from a young age — bullying, feeling disconnected from family, and the pain that led to struggles with drugs and alcohol.

Through support, treatment, and the guidance of counsellors, he found a path forward. Today, he stands as a testament to strength, resilience, and over 20 years of sobriety.
His story also speaks honestly about the cycles of hurt — and how healing means choosing to break them.

As part of Wellbriety Week, we honour stories like this. Stories that remind us:
✨ You are not alone
✨ Your past does not define you
✨ Healing is always within reach

If you or someone you know is struggling, support is here. Our doors are always open.

🎥 Wellbriety Week Spotlight

Our wellbeing is strongest when we take care of ourselves together. 🤍

Today we’re featuring the Chisasibi Fitness Center and manager Trevor Monaghan, sharing simple ways our community can stay active and build healthier lifestyles — even just 30–60 minutes a day.

Whether it’s walking, working out, or moving in your own way, it all matters. These small steps help support not only our physical health, but our mental and emotional wellbeing too.

Physical activity not only improves your physical health, but it also plays a powerful role in supporting your mental wellbeing, helping reduce stress, boost your mood, and keep you grounded.

Let’s continue to lift each other up, support one another, and choose wellness together.
