Small business -the struggle is real 😢

The common issue I hear from clients and for myself? (Aside from employee challenges)

Non-payment of invoices for completed work…..or work in progress and the customer changes their mind.

In one week I had $7000 of “work in progress” cancelled, with me already paying my staff to post and complete year ends, putting other work/projects on hold, I discounted the bill to “help them out” to 10% UNDER cost as it was. (Some were 40%)

To help people become filing compliant 😳

I’ve learned many lessons this past week personally, and moving forward? If you can’t afford the depost on 7 years non-filing corporately?

Find someone else.

Can you afford to lose $7000 in a week?

Then I have my clients? Construction, rentals, delivery, home reno’s, electrical, plumbing …..

And again! People complaining, not paying bills “I didn’t get it” I hear it over and over doing collections for clients.

Did you hire someone to fix/create something? Then EXPECT a bill for the work 👀 if you dont know how to find it in your email, CALL

HOW does a business stay afloat?

Soon enough, yes, these companies will close their doors, people will lose jobs, unemployment will go up….then what?!

People complain about out of province companies coming here?

It’s only going to get worse.

So here my staff and I sit late again, making out collection reports for Expert Bailiff, hoping to keep companies going another month for thier families and employees

Frustrated and amazed

Every week I talk clients off the “edge” of giving up on their dream (love them all ❣️)

This week? My husband and staff are talking me off the edge…..

This is the reason small businesses fail

Customers may not see the impact of what you do to small business in town, I sure do

It’s heart breaking

You may not think your $500-$1000 invoice “non-payment” makes a difference?

If you only knew 😢

I know the “types of people” that don’t pay their bills for work requested…probably won’t see this….but those that do see this post, and you wonder why people close their doors and become owner/operators and you can never find a service provider…..this is the number one cause 😖
