Today we mark the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ people. It’s a day to honour the lives lost, support the families and communities who continue to grieve, and commit ourselves to ending violence and injustice.

We are closed September 30 for National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

On Tuesday, September 30, everyone is invited to participate in two community events to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

🧡 Wolastoq Grand Council sunrise ceremony at Officers’ Square from 7:00am to 8:30am.

🧡 Under One Sky will be hosting Psi-te Npomawsuwinuwok (All My People) from 12:00 to 5:00pm at the Sitansisk (St. Mary’s) Old Reserve (510 Union St).

We encourage you to observe the day by wearing orange, attending an event, learning more about the history and culture of Indigenous Peoples, and being considerate of Indigenous communities who are reflecting on their history.
