Jordan’s Principle ensures First Nations children receive the services they need, when they need them. But the 2025 changes narrow eligibility and risk denying essential supports in education, health, and culturally grounded care.
We know the impact of these cuts firsthand.
Many OSBCU members work directly with First Nations children and families who rely on these services. When supports are reduced, our members see the consequences in classrooms, hallways, and communities across Ontario.
We cannot allow these inequities to deepen.

Standing up for Jordan’s Principle is part of our shared responsibility to advance Truth and Reconciliation.
OSBCU stands firmly with First Nations children, families, and the workers who support them every day.
