Flow & Glow - Yoga with April I am 300YYT certified Yoga enthusiasts that is looking to share my love of yoga with others! This is very inclusive, good for any level and all are welcome!

Ever scrolled through social media and felt discouraged by those incredible, complex yoga poses? It's important to remember what's not being shown: the imperfections, the countless attempts, and the effort it takes to get that one "perfect" shot.

🧎‍♀️🧘Remember: Bodies Are Built Differently

Your body is a unique machine, and so is everyone else's! Because of our different skeletal structures, muscle attachments, and flexibility, the exact same pose will look different on every single person. And that's not just okay—it's beautiful! Your Downward Dog might look different than the person next to you, and that has absolutely no bearing on the validity of your practice.

💕Yoga is a Feeling, Not a Look

At its heart, yoga is about the journey inwards. It's about how a pose feels in your body, not what it looks like in a picture. Are you breathing deeply? Are you finding a sustainable balance between effort and ease? Those internal sensations are the true measure of your practice, not how deep you can get into a twist or a backbend.

👂Listen to Your Body

I encourage you to listen to your body today and every day. Let go of the need for an external 'perfect' image. Move in a way that feels good, strong, and nourishing. Notice the subtle shifts, the moments of stillness, and the feeling of your breath moving through you. That is your yoga.

Conquer Your Inner Critic on the Mat! 🧘‍♀️

​We all know that feeling—that little "pit" in your stomach, that moment of resistance right before you step onto the mat, or the overwhelming self-doubt that creeps in during a challenging pose like Crow or Warrior III. That inner struggle, that "pit," is the most important place you can choose to conquer.

​Your yoga practice isn't just about perfect alignment; it's a laboratory for handling life's hard moments.

​How to conquer the pit today:

​Anchor to the Breath: When the mind screams "I can't," turn your focus entirely to your inhales and exhales. Let the steady rhythm of your Ujjayi breath be the only thing that matters.

​Embrace the Shake: That trembling in your legs during a long hold isn't failure—it’s change happening. It's your strength building. Don't run from it; breathe into it.

​Find Your Soft Gaze (Drishti): Pick one unmoving point to focus your eyes. When your vision is steady, your mind will follow.

​The mat is where you prove to yourself that you are stronger than your resistance. Don't wait for motivation; show up and let the practice move you!
