Tasha Mae Personal Trainer

Tasha Mae Personal Trainer Being born into a Female Body is unique. Your strength training should reflect your uniqueness. Tasha Mae has always loved movement.

Her journey began as a climbing adventurous toddler and grew into gymnastics, track and field, floor hockey, figure skating, and more. By the time she was in grade 11 she had a gym membership and was training as a body builder. After grade 12, body building turned into cycling, running, swimming, and any other form of fitness she could try. When Tasha was 18 years old, she began researching and exploring Natural and Chinese medicines, diet and nutrition, as well as meditation and energy healing. Within this self directed study, Tasha also began to learn yoga. Yoga became a foundational resource that helped her through pregnancy and childbirth, recovering from anxiety, developing single pointed concentration, and finding confidence to do things she didn't know possible. In October of 2016, Tasha received an 800 hour Vijnana Yoga International Teachers Certificate. She has since gone on to be certified as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. Tasha Mae co-owns Gabriola Fitness with her husband. Tasha believes movement is medicine. She's highly interested in educating herself in areas such as the nervous system, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems. She specializes in core strength and is continuously learning how all of these systems work together in conjunction with breath, meditation, and mindset. Tasha offers:
Small group training
One on one training
Online or in person

What weightlifting has taught me:

Impermanence: efforts are rewarded but you don’t get to keep them. Ever. No one is exempt from this.

Age, gender, life cycles and physical cycles all influence your personal needs. Your weightlifting practice will need to adapt accordingly.

Building strength is not a straight line BUT with dedication and consistency- over time - will be a steady incline.

Lifting heavy feels really good.

Building muscles is one thing. Building bones, ligaments, tendons and fascia is another.

No matter what your age, illness, or injury, your body can become stronger and pain lessened ***with dedication and consistency (and often requires a coach)

Strength training and weightlifting requires learning.

Take the time to learn. Make the time to build physical strength. Invest in your health. Your body will thank you with happiness, increased energy, and resilience.

From my heart to yours, wishing you a healthy and strong 💪 2026! ✨☺️❤️🙏✨

With love,
Tasha
