Try to arrive around 11:00 so we can get our sips before our stretches (very important order of events 😄).

Lying Down🤔...?

Did you know that Savasana (Co**se Pose) can actually be one of the hardest yoga poses?

Yep… the one where you lie down at the end of class.🛌

Everyone says:
"Oh that’s my favourite pose!"

But here’s the funny thing… it can be surprisingly difficult!

Why?🤔

Because Savasana asks you to do something most of us are TERRIBLE at:😅

Doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
No moving.
Focusing on nothing.
Not thinking about:
• your grocery list
• that text you forgot to send
• what you’re making for supper
• whether you're doing it “right”🤔🤔🤔

For a lot of people, the hardest part ISN'T the stretching or balancing in yoga…

It’s quieting the mind.

But that’s also why Savasana is so important.
It’s when your body absorbs all the work you just did and your nervous system finally gets a chance to reset.💪

So next time you see a room full of yogis lying there at the end of class…

Just know we’re all secretly trying VERY HARD to relax. 😄😂😄

🔥Beyond the Crunch: Side Planks Are Not Just a Torture Device 😆

Side planks may feel like the absolute worst lol, but they give you so many benefits in the long run.

They help:
• Protect your lower back
• Improve posture
• Build side body strength
• Support balance and stability

These are muscles we often ignore when we only train the front of the core (hello crunches 👀).

Form tip:
Push strongly into your lower side💪 — the one closest to the floor.
Don’t let it sink!

Modifications are great too, as long as you're activating the right muscles.
Make sure you SQUEEZE where it counts! 💪

And if you wobble in a side plank — GOOD.
That’s your stabilizing muscles learning to work together. YAY!😁🤸

A breath.
Grab a book or a fave show.

🔥Beyond the Crunch: Why Rotation Matters 🔄🔥

When we think “core,” most people think abs.

But your core isn’t just about crunches — it’s also about rotation and stability.

Why?
Because twisting is REAL LIFE.

You rotate when you: • Reach into the backseat while driving
• Lift your kids
• Shovel snow (very Canada of us 😆)
• Carry groceries on one side
• Turn quickly to grab something

If we don’t train rotation safely and intentionally, we either: 👉 Avoid it (and get stiff)
OR
👉 Do it poorly (and strain our back)

This week we’re working on rotation and side stability... because strength isn’t just forward and back. It’s 360°.

Strong core = strong life.

And no… it’s not just about abs 😉
