👉 Yoga is stretching, yes... but it’s also balance, breath control, mindfulness, and a LOT of strength 🫡 all working together. You might feel calm after, but make no mistake… you’ve worked your muscles too! 💪🧘‍♀️

ONE WEEK today until Sip n Stretch!! 🍻🧘🏼‍♀️

If it were next Saturday, I’d be on my way right now!! I can’t wait 😍

I know a lot of people I’ve chatted with this month are new to it, but totally ready to get their sip… then their stretch… and then their sip again on. 😉
So LETS GET IT ONNNNNN!🤘🤘🤘🤘

It’s such a fun, revitalizing time — you get your movement in, then relax and chat and sip (again) after. The perfect weekend combo!

🎃 Fitness Facts Friday: The Frankenstein Workout! 🧟‍♂️🧟💪

Did you know that when Frankenstein walks with his arms out in front of him… he’s actually doing an ISOMETRIC exercise? 😱

An isometric exercise means you’re engaging your muscles without moving🚫... building strength through stillness. 💪🙏

When Frankenstein holds those arms straight out, he’s firing up his shoulders and core! Try it yourself: lift your arms to shoulder height, keep your abs engaged, and hold for 20 seconds or more. 🔥

Two other yoga-inspired isometric moves:
🧘‍♀️ Plank Pose – total body strength and stability.
🌄 Chair Pose (Utkatasana) – builds endurance in the legs and glutes.

Way to go, Frankenstein — working those shoulders without even trying! 😂🤘

I always remind my students (before we even start!) that breathing is everything in yoga — it’s what keeps your body moving, your nervous system relaxed, and your mind connected.

So consider this your funny little PSA from me to you:

Happy Brain Energy 🩷

I always remember this quote when I try to explain the benefits of working out to clients, from an awesome movie:

“Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t.”

And she’s totally right!🩷 but here’s a little deeper look at WHY moving your body actually makes you feel better. 👇

When we move, whether it’s yoga, walking, or a good sweaty workout- our brains RELEASE FEEL GOOD CHEMICALS like endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin. They help calm the mind, reduce stress, and just make you feel fab!

✨ Right away:
• That endorphin high helps melt away tension and leaves you feeling lighter.
• Dopamine and serotonin boost your mood and energy.
• Movement gives your mind a break from daily stress and helps your body rebalance.

🌿 Over time:
• You’ll feel more confident and grounded as your strength and stamina grow.
• Your sleep improves — so your mood and focus do too.
• Staying consistent often inspires other healthy habits that ripple through your life.
• Your brain even becomes more resilient and better at handling stress.
