Doodle maps! Such a fun & meditative project for both kids and adults 🗺
We started by "taking our beans for a walk" - aka we pushed a dried kidney bean around a piece of watercolour paper with a sharpie, creating intersecting lines, which ended up looking like a map. This part is a lesson in mindfulness and letting go of control, as the bean requires focus and seems to have a mind of its own 😉
Next, we doodled patterns in some of the sections with sharpie, and coloured other sections with washable marker. We then added water overtop of the marker with a paintbrush for a watercolour-like effect.
