How much neurotoxin you think you need vs. how much you actually need
One of the most common misconceptions in aesthetic medicine is that less toxin equals better results.
In reality, underdosing is a frequent cause of suboptimal outcomes.
Neurotoxin functions by modulating muscle activity. When the dose is insufficient for the strength and size of the muscle, the muscle is never fully relaxed. The result?
• Persistent dynamic lines
• Shortened longevity
• Inconsistent results
• More frequent touch-ups
Clinically, the correct dose is often higher than patients anticipate — not to create an over-treated appearance, but to achieve an effective and predictable muscle response.
Appropriate dosing allows:
• Adequate muscle weakening
• Improved skin smoothing over time
• Increased longevity of results
• Reduced need for repeated micro-adjustments
Conversely, repeated “baby dosing” on strong musculature can train the muscle to recover quickly, leading to faster rebound of movement and lines.
Luxury outcomes aren’t about excess — they’re about precision.
The right product.
The right placement.
The right dose.
Treatment should always be guided by anatomy, muscle dynamics, and long-term skin integrity, not trends or unit counts.
Refinement is intentional.
Results are medical.
Customization is everything
