These little warriors absolutely deserve a day devoted to bringing awareness and sharing support and solidarity with the their very special, Warrior-Parents.

As parents of two preemie-warriors, we have a deep understanding of the constant worry and deep sadness that comes with having to leave the hospital without your new angel coming home with you. We know the terrible pull of feeling the constant need to be at their side in the NICU while at home and the guilt for not being with your older children while at your warrior's side in the NICU.

We stand with you, we are here to be your shoulder, your crutches, your support. We are here to tell you that you are doing incredible every single day! You are the hero of heroes and you are not alone.

🌟🌟Graduate Spotlight🌟🌟

This Graduate Spotlight is a tiny bit different this week. This one comes with the opportunity for everyone to join us in an effort to not only make this nominee feel extra super but also so many other just like him!

We would like to introduce you to Super Logan and his April . We had the absolute pleasure to meet, work with, and grow to know & love April & Logan, shortly after his super-entry into this world. We could not be more glad to have had such a wonderful family come into our lives!

Not too long after Logan started his journey of life, he was diagnosed with a rare childhood interstitial lung disease called Neuroendocrine Hyperplasia of Infancy (NEHI).

Children with NEHI often have rapid and difficult breathing (transient & sometimes chronic tachypnea) & low oxygen levels in their blood (hypoxemia) and require supplemental oxygen, some require this around the clock and some may only need it for a portion of the day with increased need at night or in times of illness.

This happy, joyful boy named Logan has truly been so strong from day one and has more than earned his ten-times over. He is always making his family smile and laugh and never begrudges a good kodac moment ❤️ His sweet Mama is an inspiration and the epitome of selfless motherhood and is an absolute Super Hero in our books, if ever there was one!!

From the moment we as parents see that second pink line (or blue) on this funny looking, p*e covered stick to the day they leave the safety & cover of the home we put our sweat, blood & tears into creating for them (and let's be real, even beyond then), there's not a minute in a day that we don't consider, worry & think about our babies. Even when those babies have their own and so on.

The moment we find out we are becoming parents, each new day is marked by milestones, big and small, some very tangible, some so subtle they can almost go unnoticed - except they never go unnoticed. We are parents and grandparents and great grandparents from that very first milestone.

At The Nest, we are so grateful and absolutely LOVE that so many of our "graduates" continue to share their milestones, however obvious or subtle, we love and truly enjoy each one!

So, on that note, we thought it would be fun to start a "graduate spotlight" tradition, always with the parents' permission, of course.

Sending a huge thank you to Mom, Dad and Brian for including us in this not-so-subtle milestone and allowing us to share this big moment with our families!! We are so proud of you Brian, the world is yours now!!
