I used to hate photos of myself.
Like… instantly zoom in, pick myself apart, and want to delete any photo where I didn't look "good" (or perfect).

But the truth is:
It wasn’t the photos.
It was the story I was telling myself every time I saw one.

These shifts in the carousel?
They’re the exact reframes that helped me stop obsessing over angles and start actually seeing the moment.
The joy.
The memories.
The ME who’s allowed to exist in photos exactly as she is.

I also look joyful. Alive. Present.

I'm not worried about making sure my body looks its smallest in a photo because I know that these photos capture my energy. They are a moment in time with me and my body.

So it's okay if I look fat.

I look like a woman who has finally stopped shrinking herself and let herself live. 💜

I thought being skinny, getting married, and having babies would make me happy.

Well, the joke was on me. Turns out what actually made me happy was:

- Getting divorced and a lot of therapy (so that I could find love that didn't hurt me)
- Letting go of my disordered relationship with food and giving myself permission to gain weight (and stop chasing thinness)
- Embracing the joy of being a mama to my fur babies and letting that be enough

I had to do the work of writing my own rules and accepting that I am on my own timeline. Life doesn't have to look traditional to be fulfilled and happy.

👉This meant slowing down. Spending time with myself. And learning to trust my own voice.

In case you needed a reminder today to show up imperfectly.

If you struggle with being consistent with your workouts, this is one of the BEST ways to heal your relationship with exercise.

Change your expectations of what it means to move your body.

Stop expecting it to look "perfect". Give yourself permission to show up and do it half assed.

Stop expecting yourself to "feel like it" or "want to do it". It's okay if you don't. It doesn't mean you are lazy... it's totally normal. Even as a fitness instructor, I don't "want to" workout most days - I do it because I know how good it will make me feel.

Focus your time and energy on just showing up.
Your body will do the rest.

So if you ever want to know why I do what I do, it's because of this. Representation is so important and so many women (myself included) have had negative experiences in fitness.

They have felt judged or unwelcome. Fitness spaces that haven't felt safe.

I want to be something different. 💜

My goal is to help you heal your relationship with movement and feel more confident in your body at any size.

Most people think consistency means giving 100% every single day… Or that it only "counts" if you dedicate a lot of time (especially when it comes to self-care, healing, or workouts)
..but that’s exactly why you struggle with staying consistent. 😮‍💨

The truth?
Confidence doesn’t come from doing more or HUGE behaviour changes every day - it comes from showing up for yourself in small, sustainable ways. ✨

Just 5 minutes a day of checking in, breathing, and reconnecting with your body can change everything.

And - it's about creating a success feedback loop. Every time you show up (no matter how small), you are proving to yourself that you CAN do it. Seeing progress and these kind of accomplishments do SO MUCH to boost your motivation.

The Loyobo FIT Way of Life

There are 8 rules that guide the Loyobo FIT way of life and are reflected in everything that we do. They represent our values and ethics, but also our promise to you - our members and fitness family.
