There are a million reasons that a person chooses a particular career path; Kathleen OʼBrien had only one, to help people live a more fulfilled, active life through therapeutic touch. Having dealt with numerous sport related injuries herself and seeing how she was impacted by these isolated incidences on top of the stress of everyday life, Kathleen was inspired to pursue massage therapy not only as a career, but to make it part of a lifestyle in a effort to enhance the overall wellness of the lives of her clients and her own. Having practiced over a decade, Kathleen has focused on such areas as pregnancy massage, myofascial release, sports injury treatment and several other pathologies. Whether itʼs treating clients who suffer from every day symptoms as a result of postural strains or high level professional athletes competing in the NHL or training daily for Olympic competition, she applies the same principles but tailors the treatment to meet her clientʼs individual needs ensuring they achieve the best possible results together, as a team. As part of her goal to enhance the overall wellness of the people she treats, Kathleen has also helped improve the quality of life for individuals coping with chronic diseases like MS, Parkinsonʼs and arthritis. By incorporating massage therapy into her own active lifestyle that includes being a Mom, yoga, regular strength and endurance training, team sports, a balanced diet and positive attitude, Kathleen leads a healthy lifestyle that keeps her energized and eager to take on each day.
