At Affinity, our Behaviour Team works collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to create individualized, play-based supports that help children build communication, social, and daily living skills in ways that respect who they are. They provide ethical and neuroaffirming care focused on supporting a child’s autonomy, strengths, and meaningful everyday skills.
Parents and caregivers are an essential part of the process, and we work closely with families to ensure strategies are supportive across home, school, and community environments.

At Affinity Group, our autism assessments are designed to reflect the individuality of the student we’re supporting.
We take a comprehensive, personalized approach that includes:

Review of development & your child’s story
Individualized, 1:1 Assessments
Interviews with caregivers, educators and other relevant informants
Multidisciplinary collaboration - with OT, SLP, behaviour team, or pediatrics - as appropriate
Final Report, specific recommendations, and follow-up, if requested

Every assessment is tailored to your child’s age, strengths, learning profile, and self-identified gender, because no two children are alike.
The process doesn’t end with the assessment—it’s where meaningful support begins. We stay connected to help your child grow and to guide you in putting recommendations into action.
