We could go on and on about the benefits of resting between sets 🤪

3 reasons you should take adequate rest between sets:

1. Rest helps you progress efficiently in your lifts, using optimal energy & performance each set. Rushing your lifts can decrease the quality and efficiency of your lift.

2. Rest between sets helps to optimize muscle growth and performance! Rest leads to better quality reps & less burnout mid workout.

3. Better form + lower injury risk. Resting gives you time to reset your breathing, posture and technique.

Before you chase the big lifts, here’s what actually matters.⁠

If you want to train smarter and actually see progress, start here:⁠

Slow your reps down. Control builds real strength.⁠
Pick weights you can move well. Good form always wins.⁠
Commit to the full range of motion. Half-reps get half the results.⁠
Track your lifts. Even 2 to 5 lb jumps add up fast.⁠

And remember, your training only works if you’re fueling for it. Protein and carbs before and after your session make a bigger difference than you think.⁠
