Friday… actually the first Friday of Fall!
The leaves are beginning to change to their gorgeous autumn colours, the smell of nature is truly unique, and the temperatures are perfect to be outside!

Why am I saying this? Practicing a mindful activity outside when it’s not too hot and not too cold is just perfect for our well being. All you really need is a light jacket and a great book, and you’re totally set to spend all day outdoors with a great inspirational book. It’s the tools you need to continue on this journey of becoming one with nature, of reducing stress, of improving your mental health and quality of life. Hope you can find the time to enjoy this outdoors activity as much as I do. God bless!

And just like that it’s Friday again! How was your week? Have you taken some “me time”? As we continue this journey, working on our personal development is very important. Reading mindfulness books will help you understand how to truly observe your thoughts, it will force you to analyze your world and the perceptions you are choosing for that world. Simply put, it’ll help you understand the concept of choice in general in a new and profound way.

Today I want to remind you how important it is to improve our physical and mental health. Mindfulness can help you do that!

Did you know scientists have discovered that mindfulness practices help improve physical health in a number of ways, besides improving our well-being? They found out it helps relieve stress, treat heart disease, lower blood pressure, improve sleep, and even reduce chronic pain. It also helps treat depression, substance abuse, anxiety disorders, couple’s conflicts, and so much more.

Attitude! The right one. With the right attitude, everything can change in your life. If you lead an unhappy life and always see life in a negative way, life will always be hard for you. It makes sense. You will attract negativity. If you are shut off and loathe everything, life will always be hard. Very hard. Just flip the switch. Start to see things in a positive light, and everything will shift for you. If you send out love and kindness, it will be returned to you. It's all about the right attitude. Make sure you have it. It’s a busy world. In the rush to accomplish necessary tasks, you may find yourself losing your connection with the present moment, missing out on what you’re doing and how you’re feeling.

This weekend, try to engage in the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment and accepting it without judgment. It will improve your well-being. It will teach you how to savour the pleasures in life as they occur, helps you become fully engaged in activities, and creates a greater capacity to deal with adverse events. Enjoy your weekend. “The truth is still the truth, even if no one believes it. A lie is still a lie, even if everyone believes it!”

Truth? When someone tells me something, I always run it through my sensors. Is it true? Would they say that to the individual’s face? Is it crucial information for me to know? If there is at least a no to one of these questions asked, I tell the person who is delivering the message to stop. If it doesn’t serve you purpose or help you in life, it’s just plain GOSSIP! So, end it and tell the person who is delivering it that IT is wrong. Have an awesome day! Smile, someone deserves your smile. Love, light, and God bless.

Happy Friday! And this one brings a long weekend! An opportunity to engage in a mindful practice!

I know we’re all worrying about kids going back to school, about all the things that need to be put in place, which makes it easier to forget to be in the moment. It’s so easy to fall into habitual ways of thinking, feeling and doing. Taking the time to do some mindful reading slows the process down, and brings a sense of meaningfulness to even the most mundane, everyday tasks.

Be patient and kind to yourself. Try bringing your mind to the present. Start with some inspirational reading! You’ll see a difference! Enjoy the long weekend!

As September settles in, let’s take advantage of these last days of summer to enjoy some mindful practices outdoors!

Here’s the tip for today: don’t think about the past! You can’t change it, right? So why can’t we let it go? Make an effort to stop thinking about things that have already happened. By the same token, don’t plan the future. It’s not here yet, so there is no need to focus so much on that. You can’t control it either and it will be here soon enough.

Instead, focus on the present moment without looking at the time, without thinking about the things you have to do, without worrying! Pay attention to your thoughts, words, actions, and motivations. Have a nice day! God bless!

Learn to be fine with your version of the story. Learn to accept it. You don’t have to prove or tell your side of the story. You don’t need to worry about it. Periodically, we get stuck with having to tell our side / version of the story because we worry about what people think of us. Honestly, it’s better to live happy and content. You don’t have to be concerned about people knowing your side. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Accept that and live in joy. Live in pure joy. Have an awesome day. Make it count! Setbacks!
We all have them! We need to accept them as part of life. However, it’s how you look at these setbacks that can make a difference in your life. Every setback may contain an important lesson for us to learn. Understanding a negative situation may be “our saving grace” when facing a similar situation in the future. How? You’ll be prepared to deal with it. You’ll know how to behave.

Give yourself time. Just as we need time to heal wounds, we need to allow ourselves time to overcome setbacks. It serves no purpose to dwell on a problem. Allow the passing of time to push you through it. Time does heal! And so does mindful reading. Take the time to read about what makes you stronger, to access your spirituality, to learn how to navigate around the setbacks before continuing!

Allow yourself to do nothing and just be! 🧘‍♀️

Easier said than done? Perhaps, but we all need to find inner peace! You don't always have to be running around in order to get things accomplished. Often, your mind and body need to rest and recharge so you can be productive when you're working.

Take a moment to enjoy the world around you. It is a necessary part of living a good life in the long run.
