To Our Friends /Patients:
We are experiencing unprecedented and challenging times. With rapidly changing circumstances and recommendations coming at us daily, we suggest consulting legitimate sources of health information such as the following: Ministry of Health, World Health Organization, Centre for Disease Control, and locally our Public Health Departments.
Our services at our dental clinic are considered essential by the Ministry of Health and so we are obligated to remain open to provide for your dental care. We have always strived to provide a highly disinfected environment that is safe for our patients, and that has not changed in light of this new virus. The infection control protocols we have in place (high heat sterilization of instruments, masks, gloves, eyewear, hand washing and alcohol hand sanitization) eliminate the potential spread of any infectious diseases (including COVID-19). We currently have no staff members with symptoms or have travelled to any hot spots, so we will remain open until that status changes.
However, we are not equipped with high level infection equipment and cannot treat patients with active virus symptoms. Consequently, we are asking that:
1) If you or any family members have flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing) to stay home and contact our office to postpone your appointment.
2) Any patients or family members who have travelled to high risk global locations (Europe, China, Iran, Korea) are also asked to self isolate , and so should contact us to postpone their appointment for at least 14 days.
3) Any patients travelling over March break are also asked to reschedule to allow for a two week delay as well.
4) Please use hand sanitizer upon entering our clinic.
Finally, we wish you all good health and hope that we can navigate these uncertain times quickly and successfully.
