The head of the new Department 74 in the Ministry of Health will be Elisabeth Nordgauer-Ellmaier. State Secretary Holetschek also commented on the criticism of the anti-homeopathy lobby of the therapy: “People are using it. One must therefore leave the purely emotional level and also deal with it. “We need to do more research into natural healing methods; they will develop even more in the near future,” he said. Holetschek also advocates a chair at a university on the subject in Bavaria, possibly to be initiated via a foundation: “We must do better research into natural healing methods, they will develop even more in the near future”.

PREPARING FOR OUR FUTURE

Most European countries live in the fear of a second wave, even though the death rate from Covid-19 cases is declining. The strong memories of this spring are still alive in all minds.
Along with an upcoming economic crisis, a slight revival of the transmission is envisioned, which could have a detrimental impact on health care systems throughout Europe, as well as a depressive effect for its citizens.
There is an urgency to prepare for this possibility and take into account the lessons learned from the first wave.

The Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis (LMHI) and the ECH are also contributing to the preparation for the possible evolution of the pandemic. The main strategy has been the support to the collection of Covid-19 cases treated with homeopathy. The analysis of the cases has been published in several bulletins produced under the direction of Dr Lex Rutten, well known epidemiologist and homeopath.

The ECH wants to thank all involved in the case collection, specially Dr Carlo Maria Rezzani and Dr Tiziana Di Giampietro, involved with the Clificol project, Dr Robbert Van Haselen, who leads the Covid-19 case collection in the Vithoulkas Compass project, and Dr Lex Rutten, who has focused on prognostic factor research of the cases. The ECH gratefulness extends also to all national coordinators and individual homeopaths that have encouraged the case collection and have submitted cases.

The ECH invites all homeopaths to continue to submit Covid-19 cases, which have received homeopathic treatment. This can be the best contribution of the homeopathic community, throughout Europe, to support their patients. This will also facilitate the proposal of alternative and adapted solutions to face the primary and secondary consequences of the pandemic.

"Very little is known about the range of diagnoses, course of treatment and long-term outcome in elderly patients who choose to receive homeopathic medical treatment. We investigated homeopathic practice in an industrialised country under everyday conditions. The aim of the study was to determine the spectrum of diagnoses and treatments, as well as to describe the course of illness over time among older patients who chose to receive homeopathic treatment.

The Indian government and the AYUSH department are now permitting homeopathic doctors to treat COVID-19 cases as an adjunct to allopathic treatment. That’s a step in the right direction considering that there are no conventional medicines recommended to prevent or treat the virus. In terms of manpower, it’s a timely decision. The Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI) reported that there is only one allopathic government doctor for every 10,926 people in India.

Incorporating homeopathy is also fortunate because reports of success in treating COVID-19 with homeopathy are coming in from around the world.

As with most illnesses, the best chances of success are always in the beginning, when symptoms first appear. Homeopathic remedies are reasonably easy to select at that time, and they work quickly. An accurate and early intervention with homeopathy may prevent development into the more serious stages. We hope Indian homeopaths will have the opportunity to treat patients early on.

The Complexity of the Homeopathic Healing Response Part 2: The Role of the Homeopathic Simillimum as a Complex System in Initiating Recovery From Disease (by Dr. Iris Bell)

Evidence indicates that homeopathic medicines are complex self-organizing nano-scale systems that generate unique low-intensity electromagnetic signals and/or quantum coherence domains.

Conclusions: Every homeopathic medicine is a complex nano-scale system involving multiple inter-connected, interacting components, and emergent properties. Simillimum individualization derives from formation of a unique personalized protein corona shell adsorbed to the reactive surface of the homeopathic nano-structures on contact with the recipient's body fluids. Low doses of such complex nano-structures initiate the adaptive processes of hormesis to mobilize endogenous healing of a disease state. The capacity for self-organization and self-similarity in complex systems is the key to future research on the nature of homeopathic medicines and systemic healing during individualized homeopathic treatment.

Most interesting in this paper is that the individualized homeopathic remedy may create a personalized biological identity upon administration. A dynamic organism requires a dynamic medicine!

An increasing number of parents turn to homeopathy for treatment of their hyperactive child. Two publications, a randomised, partially blinded trial and a clinical observation study, conclude that homeopathy has positive effects in patients with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

The trial suggests scientific evidence of the effectiveness of homeopathy in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, particularly in the areas of behavioural and cognitive functions.
