👋 Meet Rachel B – Chiropodist
💼 Why Chiropody?
Rachel chose to pursue a career in chiropody because, as cliché as it may sound, she’s always been driven by a desire to help others. Rachel always knew that she wanted to be part of the healthcare field, and chiropody stood out to her as a particularly fascinating and complex area. As a Type 1 diabetic herself, it allows her to personally understand the challenges involved in staying healthy. It deepened her empathy for patients and fueled her commitment to providing meaningful care to everyone.
🏃 Hobbies & Interests:
When not in the clinic, you’ll find Rachel staying active and spending time outdoors. Hiking is one of her favorite ways to unwind and connect with nature. She also frequents the Halton Conservation Areas for Nature walks on the weekends. She also has been playing lots pickleball and soccer recently, both of which keep her moving and offer a fun way to connect with friends and loved ones.
🐾 Pets:
Proud parent to William and Sophie. She has always been a lover of big dogs - her dream dog is a great dane!
🦶 Favourite Thing About the Job:
She loves her work because it allows her to make a meaningful, immediate impact on people’s lives. Whether it’s witnessing improvement over several weeks or seeing results in just one visit, the ability to enhance someone’s quality of life is deeply fulfilling. Helping others feel better, move more comfortably, and stay healthy is not just rewarding for her, it’s a gift she’s grateful to be a part of every day.
✨ Fun Fact:
Rachel loves animals! Her family surprised her with a Sloth experience where she got to hold one. She is planning a trip to Costa Rica- where she can see one in the wild!
