Primary health teams make a difference to people across our vast province. We have so many caring professionals that help people everyday. Our Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario continues to work with the provincial government to provide more ways to connect people to primary care. Out conference highlighted what is being done now and what is possible.

Thanks to a new provincial investment, more than 4000 Grey Bruce residents will be connected to primary care over the next year!

This milestone reflects the incredible collaboration of local primary care providers, administrative leaders, and community health partners who came together to build strong proposals—now approved and moving forward.

Eight organizations will expand access across Kincardine, Brockton, Meaford, Thornbury, Flesherton, Saugeen Shores, Listowel/Wingham, and the North & South Bruce Peninsula.

Together, we’re strengthening our health system and ensuring residents have timely access to care, close to home. 💙

Public Health advises people who use drugs to:

✔️ Take extra caution if mixing . Mixing drugs, including , increases the risk of harm and .
✔️ Go slow. Always start with a low dose and increase slowly, especially if trying something new or restarting use.
✔️ Use only new supplies and avoid sharing supplies. This reduces the risk of getting or passing on an infectious . Supplies are available at GBPH and community partners.

, The National Overdose Response Service, can be reached by calling or texting 1-888-688-6677. A NORS operator will stay on the line with the person while the drug is used. In the event the person becomes unresponsive, NORS will call 911 to ensure help arrives.
