Another horse loving their red light therapy session yesterday! 🥰

It’s always so rewarding to see how much these sessions help them release tension and feel better.

Young horses need body work too❣️

In fact, I’d say it’s almost more important to do regular massage and therapy work on young horses (8 & under) more so than older horses.

Here’s why:

Young horses are being asked to use muscles that are still developing and maybe haven’t been used regularly by them as they run around the field with their mates. As they come up in training and are asked for more advanced and difficult movements, these muscles become sore, tight and overworked, which can lead to muscle strain or injury.

With regular body work, we can release these tense areas before they become more of a permanent problem and before your horse starts compensating.

We can also use the information from your horse’s body to help your training or understand why your horse might be having some issues. Is your horse having troubles learning their right lead? The restrictions in their body could tell us why.

Combine regular bodywork in with your training program for younger horses. 🐎

Jimmy was loving some deep massage in his hind end today.

This 5 yr old is just getting into jumping more and was feeling pretty sore in his hamstrings and quads. 🏇🏻

He was leaning right in and swaying with me and hamming it up with his lips 😂

Always love seeing horses enjoy their equine therapy sessions with me as much as this guy seemed to.
