Hi everyone,

I’m seeking a formally trained Psychologist who is trauma informed and would be interested in partnering w me, a trauma informed/ mind body practitioner , as a holistic team for clients.

My specialities are working with individuals with early developmental trauma ( adoption, surrogacy, etc), women who have experienced violence or chronic health challenges, cptsd/ ptsd and support workers who are exposed to vicarious trauma.

I have a university/ college education in psychology and sociology, indigenous studies, holistic health, ecology, adventure therapy, outdoor education +++

I have certifications in yoga , Ayurveda, ta**ra, womb arts, breathwork, yoga nidra, somatic therapy, medical qi gong, polyvagal theory, +++

In person would be optimal ( CKL area ) however virtual is also welcomed . Finer details would be specific to what both parties agree upon.

Food prices in Canada, have increased by 21% since March 2020, which may sound small but is quite significant, especially when feeding more than one person per household.

Food scarcity has also increased, causing 1 in 4 households to require assistance from local food banks and community programs.

Meal planning can support us in rationing the food we purchase and avoid having excessive waste. Not ordering out saves money and prevents us from impulsively eating more unhealthy. This also decreases our risks of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and many others making meal planning good for our health, the health of our families and the health of our finances.

Working with a professional who is aware of how to put together balanced meals, or who can support you in meeting certain gains through food is a great place to begin on this journey. And they can also teach you some tricks and tips to learn how to do it on your own.

Tips to keep your home clean and sanitary w/ pets

#1 - start with your pet

Dogs should be groomed often and bathed every 4-6 weeks. Cats (unless long haired) can go with less maintenance with minimal grooming and the rare bath.

#2 - Create a specified cleaning area near the door you bring them in from. This is a great place to store leashes and waste bags. And any outdoor gear you might use for them. It’s great to develop a routine of wiping their feet and bodies when coming inside and also this is the perfect spot to brush their coats. Keeping treats on hand here is also ideal as rewards for all their compliance and just for being the beautiful souls they are 🤩

#3 - Make time to clean their belongs. This includes throwing out any damaged toys, washing the others. Food dishes should be cleaned daily, with bonus points for sanitizing in the dishwasher.

#4 - Cleaning their bedding is essential as well as regularly washing ours if you co-sleep. A daily spruce up is good enough while deep cleaning / washing machine washing is best between once a week and once a month.

#5 - Lastly, open the windows and let in some fresh air. Your pets will love to pick up the scents from outdoors and it will decrease stagnant dust, dander and pet smells that can be created when houses are sealed tight .

Natural Cleaning is best for all pets. Researching some of these via google is advised or hiring a cleaning professional who is pet friendly can be highly beneficial to ensure safe cleaning for the whole family .

I hope all my Canadian friends had a fun-filled long weekend and got a chance to get out to enjoy the AMAZING weather !

To everyone else ~ same same minus the Victoria Day reference :)

I spent today oscillating between the heat and humidity outdoors, gardening, bathing the dog, busting out my de-humidifer and working on the Ripple Out Lifestyle & Wellness website.

This is the easiest way for now, because there is such an eclectic amount of offerings.
