It's criminal if children can't read. That's why our Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce collects children's books each year instead of a toy drive.
The always smiling Constable Bill Vollmar of Kawartha Lakes Police Service dropped off some new, unwrapped children's books this morning for our drive.
Swing by our office at 180 Kent St. W. Lindsay and we will get a picture together for social media and promote books as a great holiday gift.

Exciting Opportunity for Kawartha Lakes Families!

Therapeutic Horse Riding in Lindsay (T.H.R.I.L.) is offering adaptive riding lessons for children under 11 in the Kawartha Lakes area this Spring! T.H.R.I.L. provides therapy for children, youth, and adults with physical and mental challenges, improving balance, strength, coordination, self-esteem, and social skills.

Since 2014, T.H.R.I.L. has been offering high-quality, CanTRA-approved programs at minimal cost, thanks to donations and community support. We are currently offering no waitlist registration for children under 11 or under 100lbs, available for daytime lessons.
