Our Cleawater Farm classes have come to an end for the Winter season, and this announcement was met with disappointment and genuine concern, because who one wants to stop practicing over the winter?!!
If anything, this is when we need our practice the most!
Sooooo, I have decided to keep the good times rolling!!

Beginning January 10th, yoga classes will resume.
Same day (Saturdays), same time (10 am - 11:15 am), just a different location (old Delasalle Chapel).

Winter is the perfect time to slow down without losing momentum and our yoga classes are here to help you stay grounded, energized, and on track with your physical, emotional, and mental health.

Class dates:
January 10, 17, 24, 31
February 14, 21, 28

Single classes are $23
All 7 classes are $140 ( $20/class)

This week marks the transition from our Fall yoga series 🍁to our Winter yoga series❄️.

Join us for the ultimate in Yogic relaxation this Wednesday, October 29th, from 7 pm - 8:15 pm in the gorgeous, red barn

Our last Fall series class is 75 minutes of stress relieving Yin yoga combined with the sweets sounds of spa music, low lighting, and a calm and peaceful ambiance.

We love practicing pranayama (breath control) and other Yogic goodies, such as bandhas (body locks), mudras (seals/gestures), singing bowls, facial massage, and more, which is why class is 75 minutes rather than 60.

The bit of extra time allows for a more relaxed atmosphere while we practice, and we can take our time and let go of the rushing around we experience so often in our daily lives.

Also, beginning this Saturday, November 1st, from 10 am - 11:15 am, enjoy a fun and active kickstart to your Saturday mornings in our Winter yoga series!

Getting up to run errands on cold, winter weekend mornings can be tough, but starting your Saturday with energizing yoga that heats you up from the inside, gets your blood pumping, your muscles stretching and strengthening, and clears your mind makes all the errands you have to run not just bearable, but something you can have fun doing, just because you feel fantastic!! !

I am always continuing my education.
I am a lifelong student. 👩‍🎓

Today, I completed my Level 1 Movement and Performance Therapy course, and it was AWESOME!!!

This course was one of the best, shorter courses that I have taken.

It focused on the body and mind as a whole in training and rehab, and included fundamentals that a lot of people do not really emphasize, such as the power of breath 🫁 in training and how the feet 👣are a foundational part of the core.

It was very holistic and delved outside the usual conservative approach to training, prehab, and rehab.

I love adding tools to my proverbial belt, and this one will be very helpful.

Everything I do, I learn, I observe, and I experience becomes a part of what I can share with my clients.

I am a multiple marathoner, multiple half Iron-man, Certified Yoga Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer, and all-around active human.

I have rehabed my own high-grade bladder prolapse after having my kids and ran a marathon the day after they were supposed to schedule my surgery.

I rid myself of endometriosis through food and supplementation, completely eliminated flare ups from the Degenerative Disc Disease I was diagnosed with in my 30's (6 car accidents as a passenger really did a number on me).

I have reduced my son's ulcerative colitis diagnosis from moderate/severe to mild, with no flares, again, using food, supplementation, and stress relieving techniques, I am taking it as far as we can go, and he WILL be free of this disease.

I am blessed to have been raised by a mother who was using natural and "alternative" medicine from the time I was 9 years old (seeing as I am 50, my mom was WAY ahead of the trend), and I am now completing my Registered Holistic Nutritionist course so that I can use all my experience and education to help others live their best lives, in a knowledgeable and intuitive way!!

I am so blessed and grateful to be able to do things that I not only love but that I LIVE, as a career!

And I will definitely be taking Level 2 and really upping my game!

This Saturday, August 16th, is the 8th annual Field to Table event!!

And has planned a day of good, clean, outdoor fun.

Start your day with an outdoor yoga practice under the pergola on the farm, close to the beautiful shore of Lake Simcoe.

Enjoy the cool breeze off the lake, listen to the song of the birds and cicadas, and feel the energy of all the gorgeous plants blooming around us, while we move slowly and powerfully, grounding ourselves in Mother Nature.

This class has been generously donated by the farm, so it is FREE, and no registration is required.

After an hour of intentional movement, head over to the beer garden, take a tour of the farm, and more!!

Yoga is from 10am - 11am.
All levels of practitioners are welcome.
Modifications and advancements are provided.

Just bring your mat and water bottle, and we will see you there!!

The farm is hosting some amazing local musical talent this coming Saturday, and in honour of our love of music, we are going to start the day off with the most fun you have ever had in a yoga class!

We will sing, practice, and even dance if the mood strikes you.

We will definitely not take ourselves too seriously.

And we will have the MOST fun practicing outside in the fresh air, with views of plants and flowers in bloom, and the gorgeous waters of Lake Simcoe as our backdrop.

No registration is required.

We had a lovely day walking together for a cause near and dear to our hearts last weekend.

We just want to say THANK YOU all so much for all your support!! 🥰

We got a late start fundraising, but your generosity quickly raised $538 for Chron's and Colitis Canada.💶

This was our first time walking, and Fox was a little nervous at first, but he quickly realized how many people are affected by IBD, and even though this disease doesn't define him, he felt a connection and the call to keep on helping.

So we will do it again next year, but next time we will have our own team t-shirts! 👕

Some of them were so funny, but I wasn't able to take pics of them all.

My first giveaway!!🎉

And I have to be honest.
This was not my idea.
I have thought about having a giveaway for a while, but I just didn't get around to it.

So why now???
Well, after our last Saturday class (**classes are now being held on Wednesday evenings from 7pm - 8:15pm**), I received an email from one of the beautiful souls that attended the spring session

In this email, my new client expressed to me how much they loved our classes and how practicing yoga has had such a positive impact on their lives; physically, mentally, and emotionally,
and that they were so happy to finally find classes that resonated with them.

They want more people to benefit from these classes, and in the spirit of giving back, they have donated a full Summer registration!

I have added on an extra 2 classes (not nearly as generous as my client, but we do what we can), so we now have 14 classes to give away for our summer session which begins June 11th!

This person wishes to remain anonymous, but you know who you are and how appreciated this gift is❤️

So, if you feel called to come and try out our Yoga in Nature classes, all you have to do is the following:

I think we have officially begun Spring!! And the weather has finally caught up to the season!

When the weather is good, there is no excuse not to get outside.

I am all for going to the gym for your heavy lifting days or to utilize machines if you need the support, but if you can ride a bike, walk, run, or Rollerblade outside instead of using the cardio machines at the gym, DO IT every time!

Our bodies, minds, and resilience grow stronger and thrive in ever changing environments.

Wind 🌬, hills ⛰️, water 💧, all of these elements add inconsistent resistance to your workouts that you won't get using machines.

This forces our bodies to work more efficiently, engaging muscles we may not use when working out in a more static way. It also encourages us to tap into our resilience and mental strength to push up that hill or to keep our pace when the wind is against us, and these things make us stronger in both body and mind 💪🧠.

You also get the very BIG added bonuses of sunlight 🌞in your retina👁 (regulates your circadian and diurnal rhythms, which help with hormone regulation and much much more), fresh air in your lungs🫁, and a view that is so much nicer than looking at CP24 on the TV in front of the cycling machines. 🤪

So WHENEVER you can choose outdoor workouts (yoga, cardio, jumping on a trampoline, swimming, and bodyweight workouts can all be done very easily outside).

On days like this (cold, dreary, grey), it is sometimes difficult to find the joy.
There have been sooo many of these days lately, and yesterday I bottomed out!!

But today!!

It started out as the worst of lot! I had enough and was feeling kinda low. I didn't even really want to teach my class this a.m., which never happens, but my back is strained, and I now have tennis elbow (Thank you Menopause 😵‍💫). I was tired and sluggish, and not really sure how I was going to move my poor abused body.

But once again, yoga and our kind, loving, accepting, real, and honest little community saved the day, shook me up, and re-opened my eyes to the beauty that literally surrounds me.

Sharing, laughing, moving our bodies, giving it our all, breathing deeply and together, the song of the birds, and even the greenhouse that we practiced in (which we thought might have been a disaster but turned out to be awesome!!) lifted my spirit, and I came home and saw all the beauty that is my life.

I would have added pics of my kids, but they didn't let me 😔, and we were so into our practice we didn't take any pics of the grenhouse...next time.

All this to say very heartfelt THANK YOU, to those special people I am so proud to be able to know and practice with every week.🩷❤️

And also a thank you to for holding beautiful and welcoming space for us to have our Yoga sessions each week🩷💚

And my wish is for all of you to see the beauty in your lives, even though the Grey, and to find that spark of Joy in the little things today❣️

On June 1st, Fox, Chloe, and I are walking for a cause that changed our lives forever.

At just 6 years old, my son, Fox was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. In a moment, our world changed. It was overwhelming, frightening, and at times defeating, but we refused to lose hope.

Through years of research, trial, and unwavering love, we have found a path that has helped him thrive — not just survive.  By nourishing his body with the right foods, supplementing wisely, practicing yoga and breath work, and giving Fox the tools to deal with stress, we’ve seen his symptoms disappear and his light shine brighter.  His diagnosis has gone from moderate/severe down to mild, he has not had a flare up since the original one, his meds are the mildest he can be on, and we will not give up until Fox is off meds, and living his best life free of Ulcerative Colitis and the fear of flares.

Initially, and for a number of years, Fox was embarrassed to talk about his disease. He felt he WAS his disease, and he felt that something was wrong with him.  He developed some anxiousness and did not want me to talk to anyone about his UC.  

Now, we’re joining the Gutsy Walk not just for him but for every family going through the same battle.

We’re walking to raise awareness, inspire healing, and fund the research and support that others so desperately need.  Fox wants to use his experience to help others know that this disease is NOT who they are.  That this disease can be managed and eventually beaten.
Since being diagnosed Fox has climbed mountains in Africa, learned how to surf in the Philippines, he has travelled the world and will continue to do new things, and inspire people, especially me😍.
