Try a new hobby during the holiday as a way of resting/relaxing.

Even people in the blue zones experience stress. Stress leads to chronic inflammation, associated with every major age-related disease. What the world’s longest-lived people have that we don’t are routines to shed that stress. Okinawans take a few moments each day to remember their ancestors, Adventists pray, Ikarians take a nap, and Sardinians do happy hour. We asked our social communities what hobbies help them shed stress and downshift. What would you add to this list? Comment below.

Not getting along with your neighbour, co-worker, friend or family member?

I was reminded last weekend that we can always find one point of commonality with people whom we may not agree with. Focus on what you share in common not what divides you. In this case it was the love of hockey. Loved cheering on my favorite team playing against Syracuse University.
