Long TermCare Admissions are controlled by the Ontario Health’s Health at Home program not by the individual homes. When you apply to Heath at Home in each of five regions. You will be seen by a nurse be assessed medically and be asked for up to five homes you would like to be admitted to.. once you make your selections you will be placed on the waiting lists of each of the homes depending on your assessment hoe high up the waiting list you will go. When you are called for a bed it could be anyone open your list .if you do not accept it by the deadline or refuse it you go to the bottom of your list for that home.

Long Term Care Homes in Ontario are expanding to meet the needs of our aged ng population. One such home is Sherwood Park Manor in Brockville Ontario. 96 new beds are currently being built with a goal of spring 2026 for completion. Sherwood Park needs the communities support to reach its goal of $5 million raised as it is a not for profit home unlike municipal homes and private homes which have funding from tax base and investors respectively. If you live in Brockville area or are a company in that community or have a heart for seniors please consider a donation. They need approximately 1.6 million to reach their goal. Thank you

Kong Term Care is very regulated in Ontario Canada . This a good approach. However we have issues with nursing staff PSW, RPN, RN.We need more staff in our homes to make care and services better for our seniors. We need new ways of recruiting young people into health care. What do you think? How do we recruit and train enough nurses, and PSWs?
