🌿a little update🌿

Fall usually means offerings are coming back, however I am going to put a pause on my offerings (except birth pool rentals) as I settle into my new season.

This summer I am grateful to have offered pop up mama + baby classes, support mamas during their births and postpartum, enjoy the summer season with my family, move to our dream farmhouse, celebrate my littlest birthday, and enrolled my eldest two in school! So much change, new beginnings, and moving parts for both Alma and my personal life.

This move in my chapter is calling for me to slow down, reflect, learn, and listen to what I need in order to be the movement teacher, birth worker, wife and mama that I am wanting to be.

some thoughts to initiate talks about breastfeeding 🤍

like most things in society I feel the options have become endless when it comes to babies. often in the form of gadgets as a way to make things easier and faster.

Yet, breastfeeding requires things we can't buy with money or use force on.

It requires...

connecting back to our biological
connecting back to nature
slowing down
nourishing our body and soul
going through a passage
having support and wise women
nurturing environments
no pressure or commanding
low stress
surrendering
intuitive
positivity

these truths are rarely shared and don't naturally match the busy and predictable society we live in.

so if you are breastfeeding or wanting to breastfeed know that it is a journey that is not linear.

It will change you, it will mend you, it will awaken you. 🤍

*please don't get me wrong, feeding your baby the way you want and can is best... always!! and some of these points shared are harder when nicu or emergencies are involved.

there are no words to really describe the feeling mama & baby yoga has been these past 6+ months. It is something that one just truly feels.

these mamas even mothered me with love that I didn't even know I needed... 😭 (Still crying lol!!) But pouring into mothers creates ripple effects. And I felt their love on more than one occasion and I know they will continue to spread their love to their babies, families, and other women.

A community and a village is so essential in motherhood. We were not meant to do this alone. So I encourage mamas to seek some other mamas in motherhood that you align with!! And if you need help finding your tibe message me and I would be so happy to help you!

So I am thinking a ...

Here are the details:
🌱Any age babies can come. There will be a large covered shaded area and the backyard is enclosed so we have no crawl or run aways.
🪻peonies will be cut and you choose how many you want for your own bouquet.
🌿 Some refreshing tea will be available after + feel free to stay and chat afterwards.
🌸gentle yoga flow for all levels!

Prelabour is something that sometimes goes overlooked and can often be the reason for arriving too early to the hospital or calling your midwife early.

One thing about prelabour is that it can last hours or even up to several days!! So it's an important part of labour to understand + ask questions about!

Asking yourself this very important question will help identify how you desire to experience pregnancy, who you choose to support you during childbirth (one of the most memorable and vital moments in your life), and it will help you identify how you want to be as a mother.

Our beliefs drive behaviours and always take time to tune into yours.
