We’re taught to believe that better digestion starts with cutting things out. Fewer “bad” foods, more rules, more discipline.
But for most people I work with, that approach doesn’t create the lasting relief they’re hoping for.
This time of year especially, it’s easy to feel like you have to wait for a clean slate in January… and then overhaul everything you eat.
But digestion doesn’t work on an all-or-nothing timeline, and it doesn’t require perfection.
There are so many small, doable, non-food steps that help with bloating, irregularity, discomfort, and that “off” feeling in your gut — and they’re accessible right now, even when life is full and routines aren’t perfect.
If you’re curious about a more sustainable, root-cause approach to digestive health, I’m hosting a free in-person talk at Livewell Physiotherapy in Waterloo where I’ll be breaking down:
• why restrictive diets rarely work long term
• the key systems that shape digestion
• practical strategies that support your gut, even on your busiest weeks
If this feels relevant for you, I’d truly love to see you there.
