Her TSH was stuck at 0.03…
and now it’s 1.2

If you know Graves’ disease, you know this doesn’t happen easily.

Her words before we worked together:

“I feel like I’m constantly managing symptoms… not healing the root cause”

She was exhausted.
Confused by conflicting advice.

Most women with thyroid issues aren’t stuck because they’re doing the wrong things…
They’re stuck because they’re missing what’s actually driving their symptoms.

I see this all the time.

Women who are:

• eating well
• taking supplements
• doing the testing
• trying to “manage stress”

…and still feel:

⚡ exhausted
⚡ foggy
⚡ flat
⚡ not like themselves

And over time, it becomes:

“I don’t know what I’m missing…”
“I feel like I’m doing everything right…”
“Why isn’t anything working?”

Here’s the part most people aren’t told:

Your thyroid doesn’t operate in isolation.

It responds to the environment your body is in every single day.

Most women with thyroid issues aren’t just dealing with hormones…

They’re carrying everyone.🫶🏻

Today I worked with a client on something simple but powerful:

✨loving boundaries

Because what I often see in women with thyroid issues isn’t just physical.

It’s a pattern.

Constantly responding.
Constantly available.
Constantly holding everything together.

Until their body starts to feel:

⚡️exhausted
⚡️wired
⚡️on edge
⚡️and never fully at rest

So they try to fix it with:

diet
supplements
testing

…but nothing fully shifts.

Because the nervous system is still stuck in “always on.”

Instead of absorbing everyone’s demands all day, she’s learning to say:

“I want to connect with you first before we talk about what you need.”

Something I’ve noticed after working with hundreds of women with thyroid issues…

Many of them share very similar personality patterns.

Not because something is “wrong” with them.

But because their nervous systems have adapted to long periods of stress.

The patterns often look like:

• high responsibility — you’re the one everyone relies on
• perfectionism — your standards are high
• difficulty resting — slowing down feels uncomfortable
• hyper-independence — you’re used to handling everything yourself

Over time, these patterns can keep the body in a subtle but constant stress response.

And when the nervous system stays in that state for years…
it can make thyroid healing much harder.

Your body isn’t failing you.

It’s responding to the patterns it has learned to live inside.

Autoimmune thyroid conditions rarely appear overnight.
And they rarely shift from a single intervention.

This client’s thyroid antibodies were once 23.5× above the normal range.

She had been told to simply “monitor it.”

Twelve months later they are now 2.5× above range.

But the numbers aren’t the only thing that changed.

Over that year she experienced:

• a significant reduction in anxiety
• more stable energy

She said one sentence today… and I knew her healing had shifted.
Not because her labs were suddenly “perfect”.
Not because life became easy overnight.

But because of the way she said it.

She said:
“It’s nice to be in a place where I feel good day-to-day… and when something feels off, it’s so much easier to identify.”

And I just sat there for a moment… because this is the shift so many women don’t realise they’re actually craving.

Not just less symptoms…
but less fear.
Less confusion.
Less fighting.

Most women think healing is about trying harder.

More supplements.
More restriction.
More willpower.
More “fixing.”

But real healing begins when your body stops bracing…

Your body isn’t resisting healing… it’s protecting you.

I just finished a healing session — the sun was setting, I’m sipping my tea…
and I’m still sitting in awe of what happens when the body finally feels safe.

Because the body doesn’t heal through force.
It heals when the nervous system stops bracing…
and the system finally has permission to release what it’s been carrying.

And this is what most women don’t realise:

Your symptoms aren’t random.
They’re communication.

The body expresses what we haven’t been able to fully feel, process, or release.

When I was first diagnosed (over 10 years ago now), I was scared and wondered why this was happening “to me”. But eventually, I realised that this was a disempowering thought and decided to reframe it to, “what is this situation trying to teach me and guide me toward?”

My thyroid condition has been one of my greatest teachers and guides—guiding me toward more self-love, finding my voice, setting boundaries, discovering my passion and purpose, and harnessing my internal power.
