Holiday baking is fun, but foodborne illness isn’t!

Raw flour may be contaminated with harmful bacteria such as E. coli. While some people may not get sick, they can still spread the infection to others. Others may get an upset stomach or become seriously ill and need to go to the hospital. 🦠

Follow our best practices for cooking with flour:
• Avoid cross-contamination by keeping raw foods, such as flour, raw dough and raw batter, separate from ready-to-eat foods
• Bake or cook items that contain flour
• Do not add flour to foods that will not be cooked, such as milkshakes and ice-cream mixes

Very disappointed!! ā˜¹ļø

Having just read an article by Mt. Sinai and household cleaning products, I searched my cleaning cupboard for any such products!

The result?

Discovered one new product, recently purchased that I never used before, with a warning label containing quaternary ammonium compounds ——despite its ā€œnaturalā€ appearance!

Thankfully, I did not use it and have disposed of it properly. It is crucial to be aware and prioritize product safety!

My Story

In 2001, I was met with health challenges that inspired me to take care of myself. I started investing in my health the only way I knew how: through education, practice and discipline.

Health is impacted by not only the treatment of our bodies, but our soul (mind) and our spirit. True health comes from not only the physical food we feed our bodies, but spiritual and soul food. A true spirit of healthy is not just about the food.

I am a Certified Nutritional Consultant, a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert and a wellness educator with experience in digestive health, menu planning, recipes, allergy and/or food sensitivities, grain free, gluten free, paleo, vegan and vegetarian eating.

On a personal note, I follow Biblical principals to help the soul and spirit regain health.
