The light disappears so quickly in Winter that it's hard to find the time to fly personal projects.

I fit a quick orbit in after work, squeezing what was left out of the sunset.

BUT - I managed to get an establishing shot for a video promoting a local Christmas charity, what a great way to end the week (and to freak out the CIBC security guard, lol).

Arguably Medicine Hat’s most prominent landmark, St. Patrick’s Church boasts a 170 foot gothic tower, inspired by medieval cathedrals in Europe.

Built in 1912, it’s construction pushed the engineering of the day with a continuous pouring of concrete from foundation to the highest cross.

The rose round windows were imported from France and installed in 1955, with various improvements to the ceiling and copper roof through its lifetime.

This church is the reason we still buy postcards today, wrapped in autumn colour - it made a great subject for our aerial camera.

Due to its location, YXH could only authorize a flight with very low max altitude, we made it work and appreciate all the coordination provided by Edmonton FIR and the Medicine Hat Regional Airport (YXH). @ Medicine Hat, Alberta
