Did you know many everyday household items can be dangerous or even life-threatening to our pets? From certain foods and plants, to medications and cleaning products, curious noses can easily get into trouble.

In today’s post we’re sharing a list of some of the most common poisons for dogs and cats so you know what to watch out for and keep safely out of reach.

✔ Store medications and chemicals securely
✔ Keep toxic foods and plants away from pets
✔ When in doubt, ask your vet before offering something new

Every pet parent wants the best for their pet - whether its the best veterinary care, the best toys, or the best diet. Nutrition is such an important part of every pet's daily life. Did you know that a good body condition can improve and even lengthen your pets life?

Researchers through Purina, a common pet food brand, performed a study showing the relevance of keeping our pets more lean, and on a careful diet. The study followed 42 Labrador Retrievers throughout their lives. It took 14 years to complete and the results were shocking!

Out of these 42 dogs, half of them were fed 25% less than the others. Throughout their lives, these dogs showed delayed symptoms of chronic diseases such as arthritis, a moderately decreased risk for hip dysplasia, and lived 1.8 years longer than the others!

Fina stopped by for her visit and was very interested in all the pet care tips on our wall. We’re not sure if she was studying… or checking to make sure we’re doing everything exactly right. 👀📚

With those gorgeous green eyes and that fluffy coat, she definitely brought main-character energy to the exam room this day.
