Well Vitality Counselling

Well Vitality Counselling Registered Provisional Psychologist | Parental mental health & Life transitions | Find balance, resilience & clarity.

As a mom and bonus mom, I deeply understand the unique challenges of balancing parenthood, work, and personal wellness. My passion for supporting parents and individuals comes from knowing firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate these pivotal times in life. Whether it’s the overwhelming pressure of caregiving, managing anxiety and burnout, or simply trying to maintain a sense of self, I am committed to helping others find clarity and resilience through these experiences. Outside of counselling, I prioritize self-care by decompressing with a good book, practicing yoga, or enjoying peaceful walks outdoors. Spending time with my family at the lake in the mountains is where I recharge, find inspiration, and reflect on the importance of balance and connection in life. This personal grounding fuels my dedication to creating a supportive space for others to explore their own paths to wellness.

✨If you’re waiting for a “big” milestone to feel proud of yourself…

Since we’ve established I’m not perfect…
Let’s establish something else:

You don’t have to have to be perfect either.
You don’t have to perform in therapy.

Not for me.
Not for anyone.

You don’t have to:
• Have your thoughts perfectly organized
• Be the “strong one”
• Say what you think I want to hear
• Minimize what happened
• Heal on someone else’s timeline

Therapy is one of the only places where you’re allowed to just… be.

Messy.
Unfiltered.
Unsure.
Emotional.
Quiet.
Angry.
All of it.

If you’ve ever hesitated to start because you were afraid of being judged — save this.

And if you’re a therapist, what’s something clients think they have to do in session but absolutely don’t?

👇 Tell me in the comments.

Millennial core memory:
Jennifer Coolidge delivering emotional damage in one line. 😂

Adult reality:
Some of us say similar things to ourselves daily. 🥺

If it sounds cruel coming out of your mouth toward someone else…
it’s still cruel when it’s internal.

Self-criticism doesn’t build confidence.
It builds shame.

Self-compassion gives you room to change.
And growth happens faster with support than with shame.

Some things I don’t waver on in both therapy sessions and in motherhood. These are the values I come back to again and again.

From the outside, it looks peaceful.
Coffee in hand. Cozy blanket. Quiet moment. Mountain views.

But inside?
It’s the running checklist that never stops.
Did I sign the school form?
When is the next appointment?
Do we have groceries?
Did I remember to get toothpaste?
Did I text that friend back?
Is everyone emotionally okay?
What am I forgetting right now?

The mental load isn’t always loud or visible. It doesn’t always look like stress or overwhelm. Sometimes it looks like sitting still while your mind is carrying 47 invisible tabs at once.

So if you’ve ever looked calm while feeling mentally stretched… you’re not alone. And you’re not failing, you’re carrying more than most people can see.

Gentle reminder: you deserve support, rest, and space to set some of those tabs down. 🤍

✨In My String Cheese Era✨
There’s something about and her song ‘String Cheese’ that just hits.

It captures that beautifully chaotic, snack-on-the-go, wiping-noses-with-your-sleeve, reheating-your-coffee-for-the-third-time season of life. The era where your purse has more crumbs than lip gloss. Where your nervous system is stretched thin, but your love runs deep. Where you’re building humans and somehow still trying to hold onto yourself.

And honestly? It’s so relatable.

Because the “string cheese era” isn’t just about snacks in the diaper bag. It’s about identity shifts. It’s about mental load. It’s about loving your kids fiercely while quietly wondering, Who am I becoming in all of this?

This is the season I work in every day.

I support moms who are:
• navigating postpartum and pregnancy
• carrying invisible anxiety
• grieving the version of motherhood they thought they’d have
• trying to feel like themselves again

You can adore your kids and still feel overwhelmed.
You can be grateful and still need support.
You can be in your string cheese era and still want more for yourself.

And that’s exactly where the work begins 🤍 If you want support from someone who is IN IT with you.. reach out.

Being the default parent is exhausting in ways no one prepares you for.
It’s cancelling work when kids are sick.
It’s figuring out childcare… again.
It’s parenting through your own illness because there’s no off switch.

Sometimes burnout doesn’t come from “doing too much,” but from never getting to stop.

This load is invisible.
And it’s heavy as hell.

If this resonates, I see you.
You are not weak.
You are not failing.
You are carrying an invisible load that deserves to seen 💛.

✨A gentle note: this is not a dig at parents who are primary providers. Every role in a family system comes with its own pressures and sacrifices. This is simply naming a piece of parenting that often goes unspoken.

Birthday fun facts 🎂✨

It’s my birthday today, so I thought I’d share a few fun facts about the human behind the therapist 💫

I’m an introverted extrovert — I love meaningful connection, and I need quiet, alone time to recharge.
Grounded by family.
Restored by self-care.
Fueled by coffee, books, music, good food… and birthday vibes ☕📚🎶

Big believer that happiness isn’t found, it’s created (usually in the small, ordinary moments).

Thanks for being here 💛

Overwhelm isn’t a personal failure. It’s your nervous system asking for support. When life feels like too much, your system shifts into survival mode. And that makes sense.

You don’t need to fix yourself. You may just need support, regulation, and space to breathe.
