Perimenopause & Menopause — what’s the difference?
If your body feels different lately… you’re not imagining it.
Perimenopause is the transition phase before menopause. Hormones (especially estrogen and progesterone) start to fluctuate — and this can last several years. You may notice:
• Irregular cycles
• Mood changes
• Sleep disruption
• Brain fog
• Weight shifts
• Hot flashes
Menopause is officially diagnosed when you’ve gone 12 consecutive months without a period. At this stage, estrogen levels are consistently lower, and symptoms may continue — sometimes even intensify — without support.
Every woman’s experience is different. And you don’t have to “just deal with it.”
At our Women’s Health & Menopause Centre, we provide personalized, evidence-based care to help you feel like yourself again. From comprehensive hormone assessments to tailored treatment plans, we’re here to support you through every stage.
Book a consultation with Dr. Dales at London Plastic Surgery & Advanced Aesthetics and start feeling supported, informed, and empowered.
Your hormones may be changing — but your quality of life doesn’t have to. 💛
