Colleagues and friends, In celebration of National Poetry Month, here's a little poem by William Blake. The wonderful Canadian Singer/Songwriter/Storyteller, Leroy Stagger reminded me about Blake's poetry and contemporary relevance at his recent concert in Chilliwack.

Words at Work: Stories as "Equipment for Living" started today with an amazing group of participants! So many thought-provoking gems in our discussion about the creativity and knowledge daughters receive from creative mothers. Here's a little poem about women's creativity and truth called "Motherroot"by Cherokee poet, Marilou Awaikta. This poem opens Alice Walker's beautiful little essay "In Search of Our Mothers' Gardens"

Mother Root

Creation often
needs two hearts
one to root
and one to flower
One to sustain
in time of drouth
and hold fast
against winds of pain
the fragile bloom
that in the glory
of its hour
affirms a heart
unsung, unseen

Update on Project TA101 Discussion Group
Hello TA Friends and Colleagues,
In our recent discussion group we considered frame of reference as a kind of container to hold scripts, games and rackets in place through discounts and complex redefining transactions that help maintain life scripts. We began to dig into racket theory, including substitute feelings and manipulative aspects that help maintain life script beliefs as unconscious mechanisms of survival. Participants offered excellent creative examples from both our life script fairy tales and clinical examples.
Next time we will have a look at Rackets as a system and take some time with exercises described in the course video to explore the systemic nature of rackets within the script. Here's the link to the M7 #2 Course video. Please feel free to share your examples and reflections in comments below.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLXhXlg2eLw
