I used to drive to Dubai with my family in the 80s when it was just a few buildings in the middle of nowhere. Not the Dubai that everybody sees today.

My dad told me a story about when they were paving the highway from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, the engineer on the team, a friend of my fathers, used to call him up every few kilometres and ask him to drive down with him so he could take samples of the road and test it. They used to take their Jeeps and drive near the ocean because the sand was dense enough to take the weight of the cars.

Starting a business is the most difficult thing you will do. If you’re already in the beauty biz, you know about the challenges entrepreneur’s face. Being in control of your time, not getting approval for vacation….taking two weeks off so you can fly to a place that is so special to you…priceless.
