Setting boundaries isn’t pushing people away — it’s protecting your mental health.

Boundaries are how we teach others what is okay and what is not.
They are not threats, punishments, or walls. They are acts of self-respect.

How to start setting healthy boundaries:
• Notice what leaves you feeling drained, anxious, or resentful
• Decide what you need to feel safe and respected
• Communicate clearly and calmly — no over-explaining required
• Be consistent, even when it feels uncomfortable
• Remember: someone else’s reaction does not define your worth

You are allowed to say no.
You are allowed to change your mind.
You are allowed to protect your peace — even with people you love.

Boundaries don’t make you difficult.
They make relationships healthier.

💙 Clearskies MHR Canada — supporting mental wellness, one step at a time.

Boundaries are not selfish. They are necessary.

If it drains you, overwhelms you, or disrespects you — it needs a boundary.
You don’t owe access to your time, energy, or peace.

No explanations.
No guilt.
Just self-respect.

Healthy boundaries create healthier relationships.

People don’t return to addiction because they’re weak—they return because something hurts.

Triggers can include grief, trauma, loneliness, stress, and lack of support.
Addictions may look like alcohol, drugs, gambling, food, shopping, work, or screens.

At Clearskies MHR Canada, addiction is understood as a coping response—not a failure.
Compassion changes outcomes.

Gentle encouragement
Not everyone feels joy during the holidays. Loneliness and grief are real.
Clearskies is here, and reaching out can be the first step toward support.
