MSERT is a student-run volunteer service that provides emergency first aid services to the McGill Un

The McGill Student Emergency Response Team is a student-run volunteer service, supported by the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU). Our mission is to provide a free and accessible first aid service to McGill University and the greater Montreal community. Our team is made up of 80+ dedicated volunteers that are certified First Responders and Emergency Medical Responders under the Canadia

n Red Cross. We carry a wide range of first aid equipment, including automated external defibrillators, oxygen tanks, naloxone, cervical collars, and Epi-Pens, and we operate under nationally-recognized protocols. We respond to all McGill residences, with the exception of Solin Hall, between the hours of 18h00 and 6h00. As an official training partner of the Canadian Red Cross, we aim to disseminate first aid knowledge and skills to the public, by offering first aid courses and certifications. MSERT also provides first aid coverage of Intramural Hockey, Gerts Bar, Frosh, Carnival, 4Floors, and many other events and locations

This year, MSERT participated in the NCEMSF conference, which was filled with plenty of workshops, lectures, and networking with other collegiate EMS teams. We learned some new skills and MSERT uses this opportunity every year to improve our services for YOU :)

We also brought home a FIRST PLACE TROPHY competing against 39 other EMS teams in the BLS skills competition!!! Here are some photos sharing this memorable experience!

Cette année, ÉPRUM a participé à la conférence NCEMSF, qui comprenait de nombreux ateliers, conférences et occasions de réseautage avec d’autres équipes EMS universitaires. Nous avons acquis de nouvelles compétences et ÉPRUM profite de cette opportunité chaque année pour améliorer nos services pour VOUS :)

Nous avons également remporté un TROPHÉE DE PREMIÈRE PLACE en compétition contre 39 autres équipes EMS lors de l’épreuve de compétences BLS!!! Voici quelques photos pour partager cette expérience mémorable!

Reminder everyone! Knowledge test is taking place tonight and tomorrow from 5:30-9:00 PM at the following locations: TONIGHT 9/10 in Redpath Library 1st floor (Innovation Common Rooms A), and TOMORROW 9/11 in rooms 409 and 305 at the McGill athletic center. Also, a reminder that the written application form is due tomorrow night at midnight.

Hello all - here is the FAQ regarding the knowledge test portion of stage 1 applications!

The knowledge test will take place from 5:30-9:00 PM on September 10th and 11th. You can begin the test at any point and no registration is required, however, the test must be submitted by 9pm that day. Note that the room on the 10th is still TBD, but we will have an update on the location by Monday so please stay tuned!

All the questions are based on the Canadian Red Cross Comprehensive Guide for First Aid and CPR (the pdf is also on our Linktree). For those who would like to practice, we are also holding office hours!
