CCSIG Presents: Get-Together With Canadian Cardiac Surgery Residents

Join us on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00 PM EST on Zoom for a get-together with Canadian cardiac surgery residents from across the country!

Residents will present their journey towards cardiac surgery, followed by breakout rooms where students will be able to ask questions and engage in informal discussions.

This event is the third and final of our CARMS prep series for this year.

Surgical Symphony: Teaching and Learning in the Cardiac Surgery Operating Room

This CCC 2025 workshop brings together a diverse and multidisciplinary panel, including a cardiac surgeon, a cardiac surgery resident, a medical student (our co-president, Elie!), and a cardiovascular perfusionist, to explore effective strategies for teaching and learning in the cardiac surgery operating room.

Structured around 3 phases of the learning process - before, during, and after surgery - this workshop will serve as a forum for CSCS members to share best practices, reflect on existing models, and explore innovative teaching methods.

Open to cardiac surgeons, trainees, and members of the multidisciplinary team, the event will take place on Thursday, October 23rd from 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM in room 304AB.

CCSIG Presents: A Night With Canadian Cardiac Surgery Program Directors

Interested in learning more about the various cardiac surgery residency programs across Canada?

Join us for “A Night With Canadian Cardiac Surgery Program Directors” — a unique opportunity to learn about programs nationwide, directly from the program directors (PDs).

The event will take place over two evenings, with half the PDs presenting on November 6th, and the other half on November 13th. Both sessions are scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
