🎥Indigenous film screening, Q&A and musical performance🎥

Celebrate Indigenous filmmaking with a special screening of Uiksaringitara (Wrong Husband), a a historical fiction inspired by traditional Inuit stories and legends dealing with classical epic themes of fate, justice, murder, and jealousy. From award-winning Inuk director Zacharias Kunuk, this film won Best Canadian Film at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.

Following the screening, there'll be a Q&A and performance with sister music duo Tiffany Ayalik and Inuksuk Mackay of PIQSIQ, who created and performed katajjaq, the Inuit style throat singing featured Wrong Husband.

L’histoire suit Elsa, confrontée à l’adversité, à la maternité et à la transformation de son monde sous l’influence coloniale. Ce film propose un regard autochtone sensible et nuancé sur l’histoire, la résilience et les liens familiaux dans le Nord du Québec.
