I eat mostly whole foods, but by no means do I want to pretend that I eat perfectly all the time.

I think food should be for nourishment AND for pleasure…

Most times they intersect and I can eat something that’s nourishing and feels like a treat, and other times it’s all for the simple joy of satiating a sweet tooth.

It feels kind of odd writing this, telling you just how good having a social media presence can be.

I’m simultaneously wishing for simpler times while feeling incredibly grateful that working online (on my own terms) is even an option.

In a way, I’m not surprised I’m here…
Because even though I’ve always felt a little shy, I love connecting with people!

I love learning all about them, their stories and discovering more about myself along the way.

The true takeaway is this:

Being open to what life has to offer is the only way to change something that isn’t working.

Because sometimes it can lead you somewhere better than you expected 🤍

This carousel is actually about my hair.

But also… not really.

I tried cutting it myself and it was so much fun. I felt proud that I had learned a new skill, and it actually turned out pretty good.

But then I started to nit-pick every strand and overthink every step… until I completely messed it up.

So I cut it back and started fresh. 🤷‍♀️

And it reminded me how easily we can distract ourselves with the details in everyday life and how often that’s what prevents us from moving forward.

For me, this now serves as a visual reminder not to do that in other areas of my life… so in a way, it kind of worked out.

But my hope for you is that you don’t need to be this drastic to remind yourself.

So maybe just save this for later instead 😉

I remember when I first started taking charge of my health, it was a lot of fun to learn, but at times… overwhelming.

There’s so much useful information out there, but where do we start?

After trying so many habits that didn’t stick, I realized that the smallest consistent habits (that actually fit into daily life) were the ones that made the biggest impact.

💧 Water first thing in the morning helps rehydrate you after 7–8 hours without fluids. Your brain, digestion, and energy levels all depend on it.

💻 Turning off screens at night supports your natural melatonin production (the hormone that tells your body it’s time to rest).

🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Stretching throughout the day keeps blood flowing, reduces stiffness, and gently signals to your nervous system that you’re not in “rush mode.”

🍎 Chewing your food slowly supports digestion before food even reaches your stomach. Digestion truly begins in your mouth.

🌞 And stepping outside (even for 5 minutes) exposes your eyes to natural light, which helps regulate your circadian rhythm, improves mood, and can lower stress levels. Fresh air/natural light are simple but powerful nervous system regulators.

Sustainable health isn’t built through intensity, it’s grown through consistency 🤍

Rest isn’t time wasted…
It’s when your brain actually does the work!

Creativity:
Rest activates the brain’s default mode network, where ideas connect, integrate, and expand.

Memory:
During rest, your brain consolidates what you’ve learned, turning short-term input into long-term memory.

Emotional resilience:
Rest calms the nervous system, lowering stress hormones so you can respond instead of react.

So let’s be clear, rest isn’t optional, it’s foundational 🤍

After all, isn’t time our greatest asset?

I remember the two-year period I returned to work after my first baby was born.

It felt as though there weren’t enough hours in the day to serve my family, maintain our home, and take care of myself. My workdays were spent rushing to and from appointments, just to make it back home in time for dinner and my baby’s bedtime.

Those two years marked my true shift into motherhood. They clarified what no longer aligned with the future I wanted to create for my children.

Shortly after my second was born, I knew it was time to say goodbye to a career I had loved for over a decade, in order to make space for my top priority: my family.

The thing is, we’re taught that we just need to “get used to” a new rhythm. But we’re rarely taught to listen to the nudge of our intuition when it tells us we need to do something completely different… so we can live in alignment with our values.

If you’re feeling uneasy about going back to work after starting your family, even after thinking you had it all figured out… I want you to know you’re not alone 🤍
